  1. Ah yes, TLM as well. I agree. 👍🏻 ATSV could challenge the first Spider-Man (Raimi) for the second highest grossing SM-film (in general) DOM-wise behind SM: No Way Home. It only needs to beat that film’s $407M to get there. Anyways, back to MI. Any idea how it might do overseas?
  2. I think so. Maybe more if it truly breaks out in a big way. Would be sweet if MI7 joins Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 & Across the Spider-Verse in the over $300M DOM-club from the summer. Both got to those numbers with around $118-120M OW and with very good quality and reception.
  3. That worldwide gross would put it above Harry Potter: DH2 & Black Panther’s WW grosses.
  4. Seems like The Super Mario Bros Movie’s OS gross will be above the OS grosses of all the Pixar movies, and the next animated targets for Mario to beat WW-wise, are Incredibles 2 & Frozen. 👩🏻‍💼💁🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️😲 And if the Super Mario movie gets to over more than $1.350B+ WW, then Harry Potter: DH2 & Black Panther are done for.
  5. Mario after his animated film outgrossing the later two Toy Story films in worldwide gross: Woody and Buzz’s reactions after The Super Mario Bros Movie, outgrossing two of the later TS movies worldwide:
  6. Since nobody mentioned it yet, The Super Mario Bros Movie is now at $444M DOM. Which means it has officially beaten Shrek 2’s record as the highest grossing Non-Disney animated film DOM-wise. A record Shrek 2 has been keeping for 19 years! 👩🏻‍💼😲
  7. Would be fun and interesting to see if The Super Mario Bros Movie outgrosses some of the $1.3B+WW-grossing films like Harry Potter:DH2 (2011) for example. Cause it looks like Mario will outgross the final Potter movie DOM-wise this weekend. I mean, who saw that coming years ago? 😲
  8. Impressive. Can’t exactly see any other blockbuster outgrossing this one this year. Looks like it could be the highest grossing film of the year untouched.
  9. Really fun seeing The Super Mario Bros Movie breaking out as much as it does currently. $500M+ DOM will soon happen for Mario, and beating Shrek 2 as the highest grossing Non-Disney animated film DOM-wise. Any idea how high it might go worldwide? Conservative speaking. 👩🏻‍💼
  10. Funny that you mentioned the original The Lion King. Since that movie’s lifetime gross is at $422.8M DOM & $968.5M WW. And it’s one of those blockbusters that are so frustratingly close to the $1B WW-milestone. Hopefully in the future, a wide re-release would push it there. It’s just too good of movie to be stuck below the $1B-mark.
  11. If I would have pick a movie that i want to see get yet another theatrical re-release..it would be 2D-animated The Lion King (1994). That film’s lifetime gross is at $968.5M worldwide. Which makes it one of the big movies frustratingly close to the $1B WW-territory. I wish to see it have a fourth re-release just so it can get to the $1B-milestone. It’s just so good & fantastic masterpiece of a movie, not to join there. What is Hollywood doing not giving the OG Lion King more extra box office money?
  12. Not bad choices. Especially Independence Day.
  13. With decent grosses from the re-releases of Avatar 1 (back in September) & potentially Titanic (this February), what next old blockbuster movie from the past, do you wish would get a special re-release in theaters?
  14. Well, there was one re-release for Jurassic World which made 1.1M DOM which added it’s lifetime DOM gross to $653.4M. But aside from that small release, nothing big yet. 🤷🏻‍♀️
  15. Any blockbuster that makes over $600M+ DOM is always considered a good win and never a box office failure or box office disappointment. 💁🏻‍♀️😉🥳💰💸🤑
  16. Since we are speaking about James Cameron movies, any idea how much at the box office, can this 25 anniversary re-release of Titanic add to its lifetime DOM-gross? Since so far, Titanic’s lifetime gross is at $659M DOM. Inbetween the recent re-release grosses of Avatar 1 & Spider-Man: No Way Home? Less than those movies? More than those movies? Any idea how much it can make? 👩🏻‍💼
  17. 50+ movies that made over $1B+ WW and more. And Avatar: The Way of Water will be the next one to do it. 💁🏻‍♀️😉😄
  18. Or in terms of the potential ”highest grossing films of all time”, a situation like 2019’s ”The Lion King”, kinda. I dunno. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That one’s at 52% on RT. Hopefully this film doesn’t go anywhere down to that film’s reception or so. That would be embarrasing. 🤦🏻‍♀️
  19. Any guess how much Avatar: The Way of Water can gross on it’s Opening Day? Around similar numbers to how the first film made on it’s Opening Weekend or higher than that?
