Watched Titanic again today: Titanic the production is a masterpiece indeed. But as a film, an idea, a story, an effort it may be even better actually. It's kitsch yes. But there something very special about it. People will probably watch this with the same eyes with which we watch "Gone in the Wind" today.. Hell.. Maybe even "Casablanca" some 40 or 50 years from now. It's naive in a sense, but more importantly it is humane. I don't know who Cameron is really -- he likes exploration, he likes technique obviously -- but to me he seems to be a nostalgic guy who, like other successful persons like Shania Twain, Bon Jovi, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, has some a big heart and big interests (and not only $$$). Unlike the likes of Bon Jovi (sorry folks.. I love "Livin' on a Prayer" dearly but he ain't a musical genius) Cameron knows how pop art production works. Big time. He ain't as innovative as Paul McCartney nor Brian Wilson nor Kubrick. That's for sure. He is more like Benny Anderson -- that is: Perfection! "Titanic" is a perfect product not perfect/unique-to-the-bone art. Still I will have to give it a 10/10 (or A+ or whatever) since otherwise I would only give three or four films that grade. 1. Titanic (10/10 - a masterpiece sans originality) 2. Lost highway (8/10 -- very good) 3. Face off (8/10) 4. Boogie Nights (8/10) 5. Contact (8/10) 6. Live Flesh (8/10) 7. LA. C. (8/10) 8. Life is beautiful (8/10) 9. The Edge (7/10 -- Good) 10. Austin Powers (7/10)

So I told my girlfriend that MG is like sick. He is, right? He likes to hurt himself like really hurt himself. He is a member of some kind of religious club. You know. I think he likes to hit people too. And has some kind of ugly, racist view of mankind. Isn't that like totally sick? she told me he seemed nice. But hear me out: Hacksaw Ridge is still the 18th greatest film of 2016. -

Nice! But Star Wars IX will probably make less than TLJ. Remember, one of the biggest reasons why ROTS made more than AotC was the fact it showed how Vader became Vader. Will Episode IX even have a half as crucial moment? I think 180/630 is decent enough.

Frozen II needs another let it go and very good WOM. wow.. 2019 look overstuffed... Probably 2019 will be like summer 2015. Lots of scheduled blockbusters that wasn't released. Except for MI:5 that moved up for some reason.

Not a fan of tv series but this might actually be a good Idea. Hopefuly it will be like the books — that is instead of having aragons storyline overlapping frodos storyline their respective storyline will be focus of each episode. like this: episode 1 2 3 & 4 will deal with the fellowship. episode 5 & 7 deal with aragons journey in rohan and episode 7 focus on the battle of helms deep episode 6 is about merry and pippi episode 8 focus on frodo and sam. episode 9 & 10 focus on Aragon and the battle of minas tirith episode 11 focus on the destruction of the ring and the battle at the black Gates. Episode 12 focus on frodo and sams Journey back home and the saruman conflict.

Lol. Kinda agree. On its own not as strong as ESB, ROTS and TPM. But as a chapter in the saga, this is the cream..
