  1. Gods of Egypt: The top-grossing markets for this film to date are Russia ($6.5M), the Philippines and Brazil (which have grossed $3.6M each) and Mexico ($3.3M). The Revenant: Business for the Alejando Inarritu-directed film increased over the previous weekend in Germany by +25%, in Brazil and The Netherlands by +1% and in Switzerland by +35%. Kung Fu Panda 3: This weekend it debuted to an excellent opening in Brazil — it took No. 1 and opened 27% bigger than its predecessor Kung Fu Panda 2. It also opened 44% higher than Disney Animation’s Big Hero 6. The Witch: Brazil opened No. 7 and rallied with the second best average per screen in the market. The weekend estimate is $492K at 132 dates.
  2. What the hell? Just because it's not making ticket sales sites slow, does it mean the movie is not doing well? LOL
  3. third* There were two movies in the past that had over 10 million in admissions
  4. I have the same MOS bag, three different Blu-ray editions from the US, one from Germany, the book and the deluxe edition of the soundtrack. Not to mention I also buy the comic books and have the other DC movies on Blu-ray, some of them in special imported editions too. I didn't watch MOS at the cinema because at the time I was living in a small town that doesn't have a cinema and I even came to the big city to watch it when I had the chance but the showing was cancelled due to technical issues and I had to watch The Lone Ranger instead. So no, you're not a bigger fan than I am
  5. I don't care about any of that unless the b.o. is so bad WB have to cancel the sequels but I'm confident that won't happen. BTW, I don't think I can't be away for so long, damn it. But I'll avoid the BVS thread for sure.
  6. Guys, I'm gonna be off-line starting now to avoid BVS spoilers. I'm gonna miss you so much. See you in 21 days
  7. The VVitch was very disappointing. But I'll give another chance because I felt the same way with It Follows but when I watched it the second time, at the cinema, I loved it...
  8. I watched Mad Max Fury Road in 4D a few weeks ago, as the movie returned to a cinema here only in this format and I wanted to watch it again on the big screen. For some reason, there was no smell, no water and anything like that with this movie, only the seats shaking, so I didn't have the full 4D experience. But it was a nice surprise, it worked fine with this movie that is action from start to finish. But it's too expensive, it costs 40% more than the IMAX 3D screen.
  9. Allegiant is confirmed to be released in over 1,000 screens in Brazil, around the same as Mockingjay Part 2. Poor haters... Previous movies at the local box office: Divergent - R$14,5 million; 1,2 million admissions Insurgent - R$39 million; 2,8 million admissions What a global phenomenon!
  10. I remember watching it with my friends when I was a kid, and I loved it. I think that was the type of movie that used to get horror fans excited at that time.
  11. It's better to win an award given by the people, than one given by racist academies. JLo doesn't need these awards, she's one of the biggest superstars in the world for more than 15 years now, she's the best performer and an inspiration for millions of people in her personal and in her professional life. Lots of artists won these awards and then vanish, they don't have 1% of the impact she had in the industry. Stop underestimating JLo just because she's Latin. Not only white Americans like Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lawrence are talented, this is a disgusting thinking.
  12. I knew this movie would do well here, Brazil always support this kind of crap
  13. If it didn't have quality it wouldn't be renewed, let's see which show lasts longer on TV
  14. All those Oscars and she don't come close to JLo's fortune
  15. WB never officially stated that, and I doubt it's true, there's no way the movie would do $1B, that's not how things work, LOL.
  16. JLo her impact, now everyone will follow her steps and star on a TV show.
  17. What a great taste, I bet he's a great guy, you definitely don't deserve him.
  18. We're getting BVS not because MOS supposedly disappointed, but because it was needed to move forward with the DC Universe. Or do you think a Cyborg movie has more box office potential than another Superman solo movie? LOL
  19. I'm excited for Allegiant too, I don't know how much the first two made here but I'm expecting a significant increase people are in need for a good YA movie as all of them last year disappointed and also The 5th Wave.
