  1. If I recall correctly, 3D share in German is still relatively higher than USA. Given the 1st JW's performance in 3D screen, that explain why. 3D is alive and well in international markets, with Jurassic World earning about 65 percent of its box-office take outside the U.S. from 3D screenings, according to RealD, which provides its RealD Cinema Systems and 3D glasses to movie theaters worldwide. Jurassic World earned $205 million of the film's total estimated $315.8 million gross outside the U.S. in 3D theaters, RealD said today. The top 3D markets included China, Germany, Russia, Brazil, and Colombia. As usual, the 3D numbers were more muted inside the U.S., where Real3D said about 48 percent of the total box-office take came from 3D theaters. Percentage of Global Box Office Generated by 3D in Selected Markets China 95% Germany 89% Brazil 78% Colombia 77% Russia 74% U.S.A. 48%
  2. I used to think that Black panther made 40m+ in south Africa based BOM's figure for months, only to realise that is south korea.....
  3. Agree, venezula's economy was so bizarre, so upsetting, combined with political chaos, the cinema activity was fundamentally broken, suggest that the drop in attendance is harsh.....
  4. Total Lifetime Grosses Domestic: $642,869,932 32.7% + Foreign: $1,323,125,043 67.3% = Worldwide: $1,965,994,975 is that a OS actual number?
  5. solo only made $10 in germany, suggest that only 1 german went to cinema to watch solo, at a discount price....
  6. Avengers 1 released in August, while 2 released in July, that could explain why BOM is under delusion of japanese will be the last one again to get IW.....
  7. I have start to think that beating TFA worldwide is not entirely impossible.....
  8. too bad JW is coming next week in most part of the OS, if not DP2 will sit comfortably above 700m
  9. the odd are in favour of deadpool 2 of reaching 300m, with Ocean 8, female-oriented film coming up next and I would presume the incredible 2 would hurt IW more than DP2....someone please give me that 300m is back on menu GIF!
  10. given that less than 50% drop from DP2 after holiday weekend, I will say that solo, although underperformed, had significant disrupt the DP2's 2nd weekend.....that's why the horrific 65% drop over the holiday weekend.
  11. thanks god chinese and indian and south korean didn't have good taste.....

  13. pretty in line with early projection of 170m in total....could come higher than projection thanks to summer weekdays
  14. last week, the weekend thread reached 373 pages, how much will it be on this weekend thread? 100 pages? 70% drop?
  15. what is this hold? how long has been old-woman left at home? The film carry no amazing RT score or phenomenal level of Wom, doing this kind of leggy run!
  16. i doubt so... ICOI benefited from huge increase in theater count after opening, from 1629 to 2894 4 weeks later, but BC's theater count seem to be at its peak already......with more intense competition coming in june, no way theater can keep its screen despite good hold, they are more concern about big big raw box office number eventhough it's a disappointment like solo
  17. No, that wasn't the reason!! the reason is chris patt being a White-Men!!
  18. I think most likely the reason is because of even mods didn't watch solo, that explain why they can't detect spoiler easily....
  19. The weekend thread for solo sits at 373 pages, thanks to memorial weekend, surpassing IW's opening thread of 367 pages, solo at least isn't a flop in BOT, I guess mutiple ban of users in IW thread also explained why the number of pages fall behind
  20. This is the extra remark put up by BOM, may help in the evaluation. * Territories Tracked is the number of territories with reported box office results and does not necessarily represent all countries a movie may have played in. As a result, individual coutnries breakdowns may not add up to the total Overseas Total gross.
  21. As you have pointed out, fans didn't mind when high scores was given to TFA and Rogue one, and in fact, fans in general are with critics even on prequel too, Ep3 was generally regarded as the best among prequel by both fans and critics. Why is the disconnection suddenly grew so huge when come to TLJ? I am not sure who is right and no point of arguing who is right....
