  1. 65% of TFA's Sun = 39.4 FWIW. I know people are suspecting that there will be a harsher Sunday drop than TFA had, but I thot I would throw that number out there.
  2. 45 R1 (Sat)/68.3 (TFA Sat) = 66% of TFA's Sat. Slightly off the 68% of TFA's True Friday.
  3. 4% rise from True Friday? Would that be considered good or bad for this size of a movie.
  4. One of the few franchise properties that I can think of that's going in that direction. Even Marvel's TV and Movie productions don't quite fit AS seamlessly, as I understand it. But SW is integrating EVERYTHING* that isn't under a preexisting banner. Okay, they're not integrating things like Battlefront and the like, but those aren't story driven chronicles, so not really the same. *Well, except for the Lego stuff. That's in its own weird corner having a blast while doing 'shrooms. AND they're doing it in such a manner that the goal is that one doesn't have to watch/read everything for things to make sense. Unlike a certain other franchise I could mention. Be interesting to see how long they can keep it up without it all crashing down.
  5. Check the SW:Rebels thread and/or the spoiler thread. There's a Rebels related piece of news you'll probably like.
  6. I suspect what we're going to get next is something in the 30 year gap between RotJ and TFA. There's been a few books here and there in that time period, but for the most part LFL has been staying the hell away from that time period, only encorching at the margins of either end. It APPEARS that a new animated SW series, written by Jen Muro, is in the works. Even after that inital report (and after she yanked at least one of the tweets), she's been dropping not so cryptic hints about a major project she can't talk about on her Twitter feed. Combine that with Dave Filoni's promotion to Executive Producer of LFL's Animation Department and it's not hard to add two and two togther. The speculation is more the time period, but a post RotJ series really does seem to make a lot of sense for 'unexplored areas'. Highly doubtful it would star the Solos or Skywalkers, but one never knows. This is still in devlopment though, and nothing is official yet. And given the lead time on animation we might not hear anything about it for months or even a year from now. If it doesn't wind up being cancelled for one reason or another.
  7. Heard comments that they've been holding some R1 releated stuff back for the second half of the season because they wanted it to be showcased in the movie first. Let it debut on the big screen and have the spotlight and all that. (Disney is so bad at being a cash grabber that they can't even promote stuff on their secondary outlets right )
  8. 'Working the refs' and 'buying the refs' are two entierly different things. Even Lord Cameron might be known to do the former. From time to time.
  9. (I spoilerized your post just because I'm a little uncomfortable how close to the edge it's coming to actual movie content discussion)
  10. For me, it comes down to this. The only evidence of Disney viewing SW as a cash grab is the annual SW films coming out and possibly the Saga movies coming out every two years angle (instead of every three). Problem is, while Disney might view SW as a cash grab franchise, they don't treat it as one. They allow delays to movies. They allow movies with 'darker' content than some thought. They allow massively expensive reshoots that nearly doubled or trippled the vfx budget. I guess I have to say: Where's the eviedence that they treat the films like cash grabs? I suppose moving R1 to Xmas time. But I think all things considered Gareth Edwards is doing backlips in joy that he had seven more months to work on R1. === I will agree that there is potential for Disney to treat SW as a cash grab franchise. But potential is all it is at the moment. I ain't gonna worry about it happening until I see actual signs that it is.
  11. What??? "We" are most certainly not. (And the idea that Lucas didn't like TFA is so much unsubstantiated rumormongering)
