  1. Uh... What the hell? No way I'm skipping Matrix Reloaded and The Two Towers (who does that?), this guy just spouts random nonsense
  2. I just wanna say that this is a great discussion we're having, civilized and thoughtful. Good arguments and points all around. Something's that in rare supply on the Internet these days
  3. Some of you might not get "burned" by movies, but we're the minority here on BOT, remember that. Lots of people are increasingly dismissive of movies, of content in general, especially with the sheer amount of media available to us nowadays. You might watch the movie, realize it's crap, and think "oh well", but for the vast majority of people, the actual reasoning was: I'm not watching this movie period Because they got burned
  4. People will always prefer a simple YES or NO system, that's just who we are. We're incredibly lazy If RT disappears or changes, another will take its place. Another system which can tell you if the movie is good or not, according to whoever the hell
  5. I think in case of Mockingjay, it's that the book wasn't very well received. Lots of people were saying that Catching Fire was the high-point of the series, and it may have had an impact. It also doesn't help that the public saw the splitting in 2 movies as largely unneeded. Harry Potter and Twilight got away with it, but by Mockingjay's release, I think people were tired of it. (Avengers 3 and 4 ran away from this part 1 and part 2 thing wisely) It's not as unexplainable as you think!
  6. As a comparison, it's like if an Avengers movie (by title) opened to $94M It's a good opening, but... you know, apart from the fact that the first movie opened to $207M and broke the OW record, then it's not.
  7. Taylor Sheridan (Writer of Sicario & Hell or High Water) Wins Best Director Award at Cannes Film Festival for 'Wind River' Source This is now on my watchlist
  8. That women-only Wonder Woman screening is Nazi propaganda ...Am I doing this right?
  9. Long Range Forecast: Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’ http://pro.boxoffice.com/long-range-forecast-dunkirk-girls-trip-valerian/ Dunkirk 60M OW 240M total Valerian... ... ... 24M OW, 70M total ---- They also upped their Wonder Woman prediction to $111M OW, 300M total
