  1. I promise guys, I'm gonna watch the apes trilogy once war hits home video (never watched any of them )
  2. IMDb just put up a list of the 25 highest-grossing CBM http://www.imdb.com/comic-con/2016-25-highest-grossing-comic-book-movies/ls063108314/?pf_rd_m=A2FGELUUNOQJNL&pf_rd_p=3124104022&pf_rd_r=1YHHRBK8W53W9PCGKNYD&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_t=15061&pf_rd_i=homepage&ref_=hm_ccn_comnews_hd aaaand their Wonder Woman numbers are outdated by a week, and they gave GOTG2 the same numbers as GOTG1 They could have also waited until the summer was over before putting this top out. There are no CBM releasing between now and Thor 3 (Valerian doesn't have a shot at this top 25 )
  3. guys suicide squad dropped 67% in its 2nd week-end and managed a 2.43 multi, same multi would give SMH a $284M total I would consider that the absolute worst scenario since SMH dropped 5% less Clearly the word of mouth isn't there, but it can still pull a good total in the end. Like I said on reddit, Sony should be happy with this, they're re-building their brand, it takes time. It could have went way better... but it could have went way worse. In the end it's kind of an "eh, whatever" box office run. Absolutely, unequivocally 'meh'
  4. I'm incredibly excited for this! Hopefully they can nail the "outlandish" setting well
  5. Similar scenario? With a $50M lower opening? Bro this is definitely not a similar scenario. Like, not in the same ballpark. I'm only contributing to this discussion because Spider-Man: Homecoming numbers makes this on-topic by the way, I don't wanna spark some heavy marvel vs dc debate The differences in opening sizes between the 2 movies makes them hardly comparable, imo.
  6. Or you eat at home or somewhere else? I haven't paid for food in a movie theater since like 2012
  7. 45 for Jurassic World edit: same for Spider-Man (2002)
  8. - (2) Despicable Me 3 Universal $6,717,600 +54% 4,535 $1,481 $159,859,230 12 54% ?? What the hell is this?
  9. Seems interesting, at the very least These are 2 of the most popular and talented young actors working right now Hopefully it's good!
  10. Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley's 'Chaos Walking' Lands Spring 2019 Release Date http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/tom-holland-daisy-ridleys-chaos-walking-lands-spring-2019-release-date-1020064 I don't know what the future holds for those 2, but I'd say right now, they're pretty hot in terms of audience appeal This could be a mid-budget, printing-money kinda audience hit
  11. My top movies of 2017 so far Logan 90/100 Split 83/100 Wonder Woman 82/100 Spider-Man: Homecoming 80/100 John Wick: Chapter 2 77/100 Comic Book Movies galore! Might get shuffled as I rewatch movies, and of course, watch new ones. Among released ones, Get Out is on my radar, and so are Your Name, Baby Driver, and Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 (local Quebec movie) Looking forward to, among others, Valerian Dunkirk Bladerunner 2049 Thor Ragnarok Justice League The Last Jedi like just about everybody else As usual, the more obscure movies will pop randomly as the year progresses further.
  12. I just realized that WW hasn't had a single day below $1M so far, and it won't happen tomorrow either. So that makes for 40 straight days above $1M what's the record for this, anyone knows?
  13. I thought the 50% drop would be on SMH OW, but it might come later... who knows? The odds are against him though
  14. In fact, if it hits $391M, it will be the leggiest $100M+ OW movie of all-time (Friday openers only), edging out The Force Awakens
  15. Daily Domestic Chart for Tuesday July 4th, 2017 Movie Distributor Gross Change Thtrs. Per Thtr. Total Gross Days - (-) The Hero The Orchard $263,352 +5% 401 $657 $2,043,782 26 Actuals in for Tuesday? That has got to be a mistake
  16. A bit random but I was browsing the-numbers.com and stumbled upon this Record No 1. Movie Amount Top Live Action Domestic Titanic $658,672,302 Top Animation/Live Action Domestic Star Wars Ep. VII: The Force Awakens $936,662,225 If you go into the "Top Live Action Domestic" category, you'll find Jurassic World at #2 How the hell is Jurassic World a live action movie and TFA, The Avengers, and Rogue One aren't?! I mean, if too much CGI was a factor, Jurassic World certainly doesn't qualify anymore than they do. edit: In fact, lots of their records are just randomly retarded. Their #1 all-time R-rated worldwide grosser is... The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies. I guess they forgot that only the extended home-edition release is R-rated while the theatrical was PG-13
  17. Daily Domestic Chart for Sunday June 25th, 2017 ← Previous Chart Chart Index Movie Distributor Gross Change Thtrs. Per Thtr. Total Gross Days 1 (1) Transformers: The Last Knight Paramount Pictures $14,010,000 -20% 4,069 $3,443 $69,095,489 5 2 (3) Cars 3 Walt Disney $8,308,000 -11% 4,256 $1,952 $99,882,893 10 3 (2) Wonder Woman Warner Bros. $7,750,000 -23% 3,933 $1,971 $318,305,158 24 Cars 11% WW 23% ?? I think it's gonna be the other way around
  18. I did the same thing with Mulholland Drive for months... Boy do I not regret putting it on the other day Don't let runtime dissuade you
