BOM has silly ER. I don't know how Disney will calculate total China number, but I think it's obvious that money china theatres made doesn't go to Disney on the same day. So money which chinese cinema goers spend on let's say 15th may will go to disney maybe week later maybe month later, I don't know but ER is getting worse and worse for Disney, so from a logical point of view Disney will make less money than it's currently reported. You're right that summer weekdays will help IW, but summer weekdays means that weekends wouldn't have so big bumps.

Black Panther made 17 mln$ in 6th weekend, and IW made 17 mln in 5 th weekend. IF BP will end with 700 it means that BP will ad another 69 mln after weekend with 17 mln$. Currently IW is making around 80% of BP dailes (i'm comparing 33rd day of IW vs 40th day of BP etc) if IW will make 80% of 69 mln it will ends around 680 mln. But week earlier during weekdays IW was making much more than 80% of BP. So IW is getting weaker and weaker against BP so I assume that 683 is extremely unlikely. IW had much harsher drops than BP even before D2, and Solo, so even without any serious competision in next 2 weeks i don't see a reason why it should stabilize against BP. I would like to also remind that BOM reports that IW made less money in China than we can read in chinese thread. So even if this movie will make 360mln using are calculations it doesn't mean that it will make 360 according to BOM.

According to China Box office thread IW was 336 after weekend, and according to BOM it's 333.7. So i'm not sure why you're thinking that it did better.

Avengers made 95 millions this week and need another 95 mln to achieve 2 bln. 30 mln os-china, 20 mln china, 45 mln dom. It's not impossible, but i would say that there's more than 50% that it will be under 2 bln.

Are you sure it's just 2 days? We already have wednesday numbers from China. It made around 12 mln $ in China in 3 days, so OS-China would be 6.5 mln.

In my opinion 335 mln is optimistic target for this sunday, and another 15 mln after that day is even more optimistic target.

It does matter. Previous movies got best possible release dates in diffrent countries, and infity wars was released during one weekend, because of that IW will have stronger competions against local movies.

OS Infinity Wars was released during one weekend (except Russia) but Avengens and Ultron had so many diffrent release dates. It's was way easier for Avengers and Ultron to have late legs...

It's not possible to say how Doraemon will affect IW, but Avengers ise already losing with this Chinese rom-com, so i think POTUS projections are too optimistic.

It will hold better because of Memorial Day in usa, but Solo will affect os-china, don't forget that Deadpool is rated r movie and solo isn't.

I'm not saying that this is impossible that IW will reach 2 bln, but it fell down 52.5% (dom) and 60% (os-china), so 2.5x (dom) and 2x(os-china) seems too generous. And i don't understand POTUS est. ff8 58mln (yuan) mon 371 usd total, and IW 13 mln (yuan) monday and 340 usd total. And after that day ff8 made 17 mln usd more, and IW will do 21 mln usd more?

It would be insane to say that around 355 mln is a disappointment, but it may not be enough to reach 2bln. 355 china, 665 dom, 980 os-china isn't locked.
