Yes, I hate her character from the first movie and wish she wasn’t even in this one. For me she’s worst character in the whole mcu. But I’m only commenting cause you asked, normally I try and stay out of conversations for my movies I’m not really interested in. If Namor wasn’t in this I probably wouldn’t even see it in theatres, didn’t love the first movie and haven’t been impressed with marvel lately.

If Shazam was made for 100m I feel like this shouldn’t of had a budget much higher then say 125m, I also believe the budget ballooned cause of delays etc. I’m rooting for it to well. We’ll see what happens.

I mean ya, it should do better in places like China but really who knows at this point, and even then you barely get any returns from China.
We’ll see what happens, I’m definitely rooting for the movie and the rock but I have to be realistic as well.

This show - not matter how good or bad it actually is - was always going to receive some extreme hate by a big part of the Internet, simply because a ton of people decided they want to hate it no matter what beforehand. Speaking just for myself, i think this show so far has been a 7/10 show. It has some logical and narrative issues and the dialogue seems off in a few places, but im still enjoying it. Its never boring to me. Of course it doesnt come close to the LOTR trilogy, but honestly, for me, nothing will ever come close to these Masterpieces. And guess what, even those 3 movies arent loved by everyone.
Im just glad we got a LOTR show, because ... well, id rather have this than nothing, especially because its a solid show so far.
I think in general this is how most people feel(myself included).
The biggest problem for this show is when it released. Not cause I think it should be compared to HOD, but unfortunately on top of the nitpicking it’s getting compared to that as well.

That would be downright awful for a Rock and big budget superhero movie.
WB is dumb for giving this movie that big of a budget then, it should of been in the same ball park as Shazam (100-110m) cause there’s absolutely no reason this should open much higher than Shazam. Black adam is an unknown character and DC movies don’t have the built in fan base marvel has. Sure the rock is more popular so that will help, but only so much.
Maybe if this movie is a big crowd pleaser it can “break out” a bit more but honestly if it did SC numbers opening weekend I’d be shocked. Hope I’m wrong though.

People are already taking this variety article as gospel on twitter that BA will make over 300m domestic, it’s such an awful article, just setting this movie up to look even worse when it doesn’t even get close to those numbers. This will need to open to like 125-135m to even get close to any numbers like that and that’s definitely not happening. If this were to open to 70m I’d be shocked.

Don’t have time for a full count but WF is definitely selling closer to Thor then MOM at the theatres around me. Black adam is better then morbius but I’m not sure what that even means lol, I don’t really have any other comps I can use for BA until closer to release.
I owe a lot of you guys a bunch of likes. I’m renovating my place and between work and school for the kids I just haven’t had time to do much else(or even look in here). Hoping things slow down by the end of November.
