Seen it twice too. It wore me down a little too much at a certain point between the midpoint and the climax, but the final half-hour is incredible in every way.
They'll be in for a rude awakening if they actually decide to do this and expect an IW > Endgame type acceleration. Ditto Mission Impossible, although people might have more patience for that one.
Heaven Knows What is worth your time. Not a crime movie so not thrilling in that way, but there's that immersive mix of rawness and stylization that Good Time and UG would grow out of. It has little in common with mumblecore.
Correct. Margaret is #1 baby.
With the sci-fi countdown taking up February and early March I've been thinking of setting the decade submission deadline to around March 15 so you have a month and a half to catch up. I myself spent the past year watching and revisiting everything I could and 2011-12 have a lot of good stuff, 2010 though to my mind is easily the weakest movie year of the decade if not of the past 20+ years.
I'm gonna ask people to submit top 100s if they can. I mean if you want your vote to count surely you gotta have 10 movies on average per year that you think are good enough for a decade list. (That said, top 50 will also be an option.)
Our top 3s are 2/3 the same btw.
Mediocre. 10+ years they had this in development and now after the spectacular dipshit orgy of death and destruction that was Bad Boys II we get this anonymously directed sentimental old man fantasy in which 50-something bad boys prove their worth to millennials. Doesn't even have any real fun with the ridiculous melodrama.
