BOM usually updates overseas grosses weekly ( usually on weekends ), but this movie has obviously made more than 300 million worldwide already. The last overseas update was 3 days ago. Considering that SS has masde 160 million domestic so far + 133 million overseas, we would have 293 million worldwide. Given the fact that overseas numbers haven't been updated for 3 days, I'm positive it has made more than 300 million so far.

Captain America: The First Avenger is a prequel. Any other Marvel movie is a First Avenger sequel! Problem solved.

Lol at Sony saying that the movie needs 300 million to break even. If it has a budget of 144 million + 100 million for P&A ( meaning a production budget of 244 million ), then how the hell do they get to 300 million to break even? Their damage control is pathetic. This movie needs at least 500 million to break even. Even the director himself said that. Given the fact that they don't even keep all the money this movie is making, I fail to see how 300 million is a magic number, lol.

Wow, it seems that we had something like 4 or 5 trailers today, lol. Official Teaser Trailer 1: French Trailer: Official International Trailer 1: Official International Trailer 2:

This one will start right after the previous one. Maybe there will be a time jump. Continuity hasn't been respected in the series, lol.

Trailer ( or teaser ) is here: Not sure if there's gonna be another trailer. They said something about being 2 minutes long. So, maybe tomorrow there's gonna be another one.

What return? Ghostbusters so far has made zero profit. It has a budget of 144 million + at least 100 million for marketing. That means a production budget of 244 million. So far, it has made 116 million domestic and it has had smaller overseas grosses than the Fantastic Four reboot ( FF made 111 million, while Ghostbusters has made 62 million so far, and very few markets are left ). If producers only keep 50-55% from domestic grosses and a smaller ammount overseas, that means they didn't even make back the money they spent with this movie. So, chances are they won't be seeing a profit soon. Don't forget Sony gave up The Amazing Spider Man series, after TASM 2 went on to make 703 million worldwide. Sony even had revealed TASM 3, 4 and even a Venom movie. They all belong to a trash can now, though, just like a possible Ghostbusters sequel. Sure, strange things have happened, like a GI Joe sequel called Retaliation. The first GI Joe had a huge 175 million budget ( plus marketing ) and it only made 300 million worldwide. I guess toys and dvds probably were sold a lot.

Yeah, I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked at these numbers, lol. While Fantastic Four made 111 milion overseas, I don't see how Ghostbusters might make more than 100 million with overseas grosses still at 62 million. Unless it overperforms where it has to be released, 100 million is out of reach. People better forget a sequel at this point. It won't happen, unless it's a ghost sequel that only ghosts might be able to watch it.
