  1. I barely liked Age of Ultron, but the 75% is not the movie's score. You have to look at the average critic rating and the topc critics average. It's at 6,7. Robot action is getting stale. Ultron had bad CGI too. BVS shocked me at first. I also liked the movie, but it was insanely flawed. It tried to be a ton of things at the same time. It was a MOS sequel, a Batman reboot, a Justice League set up, the Flash dream scene is probably a hint to a future Injustice plot, and they tried to put the most famous Superman arc ( Death and Return ) in a 20 minutes fight, lol. It was crazy, I understand its bad reviews. It was all over the place. They really need to make a focused movie. X-Men Apocalypse surprised me, because I wasn't expecting anything. The plot was fine, acting was fine, Quicksilver scene was amazing, Magneto arc was really emotional ( better than anything in Civil War ), Apocalypse was ok. I loved X-Men Apocalypse.
  2. Damn, BVS is a punching bag for sure! Anything beats it. Even I could beat it.
  3. 124 million wordwide now... http://fugomo.com/x-men-apocalypse-2016-5th-day-tuesday-worldwide-box-office-collection/
  4. Boxofficemojo says Apoclaypse's budget is 178 million. Is there any official source for the movie's budget?
  5. I avoided the 3D like the plague, but yeah, things are damn "X-pensive" ( pun intended ) here.
  6. Damn, that's way too far away, lol. I don't think you're missing anything, though. I agree about the 3D! Avatar is probably the only good 3D flick, but Resident Evil Afterlife was also amazing in 3D. Both movies share the same Pace Fusion 3D camera used during filming. Most of the movies are filmed in 2D and then converted to 3D, which usually ends up being a crappy conversion. Was Apocalypse filmed in 3D? I have no idea.
  7. There are lots of IMAX options in Brazil. Too bad they're way too damn expensive, lol. Everything is expensive here in Rio. I always try to avoid buying tickets for 3D versions. Fortunately I managed to watch X-Men in 2D.
  8. Numbers are unpredictable, so I would wait for its opening weekend. Here in Brazil, reactions have been really positive everywhere. Everyone had a blast with this movie. I'll be watching it again, soon.
  9. Amazing numbers overseas, but yeah, it's droppng like a rock. That was expected. It has competition overseas. Angry Birds, X-Men and so on.
  10. Yeah, DOFP had China numbers during its opening overseas numbers... Not the case with Apocalypse. I think it's not bad.
  11. Yeah, not that bad. I think it might make 400/450 million overseas.
  12. Oh, then it was my mistake. lol Thanks for correcting me. Yeah, we'll have to wait for its numbers now.
  13. Not really, because when DOFP got released overseas, its numbers already included China's grosses. Remember, this time there isn't a China release. China's release date is June 8th, if I'm correct.
  14. No official numbers yet, though rentrak says X-Men got at the top 10... https://twitter.com/RentrakBrazil https://twitter.com/Rentrak_Italia https://twitter.com/RentrakBolivia https://twitter.com/RentrakChile Angry Birds might have made more, because it also has a domestic release, while X-Men doesn't have one yet.
  15. Civil War's performance is both good and bad. It's good because its performing fine, but it's bad because Iron Man 3 made 1.2 billion without any other Avengers. If you compare Civil War's performance to Iron Man 3 performance, its disappointing. That's really dangerous because Marvel can't keep using Downey Jr all the time to boost other movies. I mean, I don't want a male Jennifer Lawrence, which I hope it never happens. Hopefully we won't see a Downey Jr fatigue... In a nutshell, Civil War numbers are cool, but far away from being impressive. Predictions ( from both fanboys and sources ) were insanely high, reviews were kind. So, what happened? I'm not asking in a bad way, I'm curious.
  16. Damn, Civil War is dropping like a stone everywhere... I think it won't make 1.2 billion worldwide anymore, which is disappointing for a movie featuring all these characters.
  17. Whoa!!! Thanks for that. Mal posso acreditar que não sou o único por aqui.
  18. I took my child to watch Angry Birds. She quite liked it. The theater was really full. I'll be watching X-Men in the next few hours, here in Brazil. Reactions have been positive from most of the people I know. So, that's a plus.
  19. I think Expendables 3 is probably one of the most serious examples of this... The whole movie leaked before its release date. It was a perfect dvd screener, according to those who watched it. I think the same also happened to the first Wolverine movie or something like that.
  20. Yeah, Global destruction seems to play better overseas... Just look at Roland Emmerich flicks. Weak domestic grosses, but huge overseas numbers.
