  1. What's the latest on OS-C? Looks like this is locked for $600M+ between U.S./China so we going to need $400M OS-C for the magic number. Let us hope.
  2. $200M at this point. Probably another 25 million before the weekend. Even if the weekend drops 50% it's going to be above $250M. There's no way it's not crossing 300
  3. So today is the day where we are supposed to throw water on Aquaman's parade? Well, I think he'd be okay with that, you can douse him all you want and he will thrive in it. He lives in it. I've never seen this before. "Yeah, it's a success but.. it was a joke. Uh, Entourage." Like anyone gives a rat's ass about that show in 2019. "Yeah, it's a success but Christmas. But New Year's." Is that what we're going to say in the Summer? Yeah it's a success but Summer. If those damn kids were in school where they belong! Grrrrr!
  4. I don't factor Incredibles 2 into the list. It's a property with comic books but not originally adapted from comic books.
  5. Right and I believe Batman vs. Superman (873) would be next at 11th place. Aquaman is looking good for 9th all time.
  6. I can't find the all-time worldwide CBM chart on BOM. I believe it goes something like this.. correct me if I'm wrong. 1. Avengers Infinity War $2B+ 2. Marvel's The Avengers $1.5B 3. Avengers Age of Ultron $1.4B 4. Black Panther $1.3B 5. Iron Man 3 $1.2B 6. Captain America Civil War $1.1B 7. The Dark Knight Rises $1B+ 8. The Dark Knight $1B+ Aquaman has a chance to finish top 10 all-time it would appear..
  7. People saw JL for what it was. An unfinished mess made worse by a new director who tried to fit square pegs in round holes. Aquaman has righted the ship.
  8. Everything seems to have evened out. Everyone expected Aquaman to do about $650M-$700M and for Justice League to do $1B+ , they simply reversed roles.
  9. @terrestrial Yes, I am a native and I also have a degree so whatever it is that you think you saw, keep searching.
  10. I don't think so. The visuals and directing overall that was on display was Oscar worthy. I realize you said "IMO" but I'm not sure if that offsets you saying objectively bad, seemed like you were attempting to force your opinions on others but whatever the case it is hugely successful... too late for the hate train to commence.
  11. But he was an older surly Batman in BvS. For future Batman films they should want to go younger.
  12. I hate fantasy booking HOWEVER I think they can easily scrap Affleck's version of Batman with some sort of timeline/Flash shit... like we saw in the Spider-Man movie earlier this month how you can play around with alternate universes and make it work.
  13. This is nonsense. This is why people are arguing with you because you are posting nonsense. Every single movie outside of JL has made WB a ton of money. Aquaman is just the latest in a string of very successful movies. The next Wonder Woman will be a success. I'd guess Shazzam will be a success too.
  14. It's a great number but truthfully I think Bird Box will have chicken legs.
  15. have you been following the thread? My reply was to an "If" Aquaman without China "observation"
  16. But if it had "a more normal" U.S. box office run of $250M the final total would look quite different. 😁
  17. Remove the $700M Black Panther made in the U.S. and the total wouldn't be as impressive... genius
  18. I'm a fan of both companies but I once defended Man of Steel and then BvS the Ultimate Edition and said it wasn't that bad.. and people attacked me calling me this big DC supporter, despite me liking most MCU movies.. so.. it goes both ways. I don't know who most of these people are trying to kid. Most of them probably end up seeing all these movies one way or another anyway. They just want to be on the "winning team" for whatever that gets you.. Hint: It gets you fucking nowhere because Feige wouldn't throw these bums a nickel if they were begging on the street corner.
  19. you are talking years before that happens... and the same was said about Spider-Man Homecoming. Then the movie came out and it did very well but not the billion+ or 1.2, 1.3 that many people were expecting.
  20. If DC ever gets Batman rolling again you'll start to see more billion dollar movies too. All things come to an end. DC dominated with the Batman trilogy. Lords of the Rings stuff dominated for a while. Harry Potter stuff dominated for a while. It's what you do AFTER.. to keep these properties relevant.. that's most interesting.
  21. Aquaman came in slightly above tracking and people are still calling it disappointing. Obviously the pre-previews burned off some people who were going to see it Fri-Sun. The real number is around 73-75 million which is good for it.
