  1. AiW2 tanked because the first one wasn't well received. People actually liked Maleficent, so they're more likely to go out of their way for a sequel. This is why Disney makes money. Their films typically win the hearts of their viewers.
  2. Yeah, I do. I just don't care what people think. It's always confused me that others do care so much.
  3. Everyone I know, in regards to this film: #1 "I don't want to see this. It's for girls." #2 "I'm too old to watch this." #3 "I really want to see it, but I'm worried about what people will think of me." #4 "I want to see it, but it'll be on the web soon enough." 1 Isn't difficult to comprehend. 2 I guess makes sense. But at #3, many of you (myself included) enjoy watching films with men and women beating the hell out of each other in colorful tights. Are talking ponies really so different? And I'm not even going to talk about #4.
  4. It'll have to be. No way they can push this out with less than a year to go and no additional casting news.
  5. Same. It would be nice to get more films like this since 3D characters are pretty much the norm now.
  6. I'm so pumped for this, if only because I get to take my niece to see it.
  7. Saw it. Watch the first one. Never watch this one. It's just a cookie cutter horror film with forgettable, boring characters. I think an appropriate headline should be "When will Sony finally Flatline?" Because they really shit the bed with this film. No energy, no passion, and nothing new with this one at all. Annabelle: Creation at least had characters I somewhat cared about. However, in this film, I just wanted them to die (and stay dead). Between this film and Mother!, I'm not sure which one I'd choose to watch if I had a gun pointed to my head. And why the HELL did Ellen Page take this job?
  8. I've heard people say that it bothered them, and not in a way that a horror film should. It touches on some themes that really reflect on director Victor Salva, if you catch my drift.
  9. I was interested in seeing JP3, but ever since I learned what the director did, I can't say I would have seen it if it came to my town.
  10. Makes plenty of sense. IT is making so much money in September, which is typically a dead month for movies. Why stick it into a crowded Summer where films regularly cannibalize each other?
  11. I'm not sure. I've heard good things from people who met him in person. But to be fair, these would be like...two people, at most. Also, the posters work....I guess. Still not that excited. I guess October 6th will make or break this for me.
  12. 2018 has too many films period. This is going to be rough for a lot of studios as films continue to cannibalize each other, especially next Summer. I could see films like The New Mutants and Ant Man and the Wasp grossing less than their predecessors.
  13. RT reviews haven't stopped me from watching a movie before. The opinions of friends, on the other hand, have.
  14. Even though I'm ready to watch this, I anticipate that this will receive a Rotten score on RT. Probably 40-50%. Anybody else want to make predictions?
  15. I don't even know why I typed that. TTG has the same animation quality as Johnny Test. Your comment makes so much sense, now that I realize what we're actually discussing.
  16. I don't care how well this does. I predict that if the budget is between $10-$15 million it can bring in a modest profit for WB. However, this is the first time I have heard of such a project. It may not even be ready for 2018.
  17. Blumhouse needs to move if it wants a good weekend for whatever horror film they initially planned on releasing that day. Otherwise, it'll be a bloodbath. Also, props to WB for sticking with September instead of cramming it into Summer like people feared they would do. Not that I expected them to try it, but still...
  18. This is the film I'm most looking forward to in November.
  19. A Cure for Wellness was forgettable, but The Belko Experiment was okay. But I would hesitate to say that either film was terrible.
  20. I saw the first one through Redbox and loved it. Considered seeing this tonight. Now after hearing my friends tear it to fucking shreds, I'm beginning to think that my decision not to go was a wise one.
