  1. TBF the week the Euros start, there is Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard and In The Heights as well as older skewing content like The Father. I don't see The Croods 2 or Spirit doing much, surprised Universal didn't release Croods in May or even June as it would have been a good option for families who have already seen Peter Rabbit 2.
  2. Either that or December 23rd which was the old date for Tom and Jerry. Surprised they didn't opt for a mid week December release for WW1984. I could see Dune getting a limited release in December and then move to MLK Weekend, WB already has Mortal Kombat on that date which will probably be pushed back to Spring.
  3. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, they need to sell this to a wider audience which isn't familiar with the original source material.
  4. The OS market will lap this up like they did with Murder on the Orient Express. Even if it only does say $200-250m WW, it'll still be profitable. That being said, I'm not sure which Agatha Christie novel they should adapt next. It's between Evil Under the Sun and The ABC Murders.
  5. I don't think it's as simple as just waiting until next year to commerce filming. There's a lot of logistical issues and also people's livelihoods can't wait that long.
  6. Tenet not surprisingly is the bigger deal for WB whereas Bill and Ted was just something they're only distributing in the UK and probably aren't expecting it be a big moneymaker but with so few new releases, it might do okay by default.
  7. Dune in February could work although I wouldn't be surprised if they opt for a limited release in December then expand in January. The slot currently held by Mortal Kombat could be an option with MK moving to January 29th or February.
  8. Doesn't come out in the UK for another three weeks but I'm looking forward to it.
  9. I will be interested to see how Bill and Ted Face the Music does, Warner Bros clearly wants to do well as they pushed it from late August to mid September.
  10. OUATIH isn't a great comparison because that was 18 rated but £5.3m for Tenet is still pretty fantastic, on par with Interstellar which IIRC had good legs.
  11. I'm surprised the film still isn't ready considering it was shot early last year.
  12. I think if WB were to stop giving him bigger budgets, he'd simply go to another studio as I'm sure Universal, Sony or Paramount would greenlight one of his films, look at how Tarantino managed to get massive interest for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
  13. Oddly, I find that his brother Jonah Nolan is able to pull off concepts that are a bit ridiculous on paper like Person of Interest and to an extent Westworld.
  14. If Nolan can cast Harry Stiles in Dunkirk, Dwayne Johnson in a future film cannot be ruled out. I could see Nolan doing a 'smaller' film that more akin to say The Departed or Once Upon a Time in Hollywood but not low budget.
  15. I'd love to see Nolan do a gangster film or a horror film although a historical epic would be great as they're just not done anymore. If Warner Bros wants a moneymaker from Nolan's next film, they should give him a limitless budget but on the condition that Dwayne Johnson is cast in the lead role.
  16. I enjoyed the film but I do think Nolan needs to bring back Jonah Nolan as co-writer for his next film. Nolan as sole screenwriter tends to be hit and miss.
  17. I agree about the score being an absolute banger. I wouldn't be surprised if Ludwig gets to score Nolan's next film.
  18. Colin Farrell as The Penguin look really well done, you can't really tell it's him.
  19. If they can pull off a multiverse movie with The Flash, I wonder if WB would consider a Dark Nights Metal adaptation with The Batman Who Laughs as the main villain. If Batman and Joker can make big bucks, The Batman Who Laughs might make even bigger bucks.
  20. Does the new WB logo appear with Tenet? It's technically already debuted with An American Pickle OS but curious to know if it's any difference i.e animated
