  1. So happy for Crazy Rich Asian's success. As an immigrant Asian living in Australia I do yearn for more representation in Hollywood films so it's good to see how great its commercial success has been so far. And of course the film was very fun to watch from start to finish. Give me more Awkwafina and of course more Ken Jeong is welcome.
  2. 6 Prime Minsters in 11 years. Soon to be 7 in 12 years.
  3. Great job conservatives you couldn't even get your wanted leader in power
  4. Middling performance for an MCU sequel but a good performance for a sequel in general.
  5. Considering that this wasn't much of a secret (Gunn got some flack back in 2012) and all it would take was a simple check on Twitter I highly doubt that.
  6. Oh that looked really bad. Would have taken the impact away from that final shot of the heroes had he been in the foreground more.
  7. VFX rarely takes me out when watching a film in the cinemas but the fight between Killmonger and Black Panther in the 3rd Act was one of the few times it did. Laziness isn't the culprit as much as running out of time as blockbusters are now set with a release date before they even begin pre-production (with the exception of the Avatar sequels which is why Cameron is able to take his time with those). Infinity War on digital looked pretty good I thought there was only some minor green screen issues and CGI doubles.
  8. Incredibles 2 for me IMO. How many people were predicting $600M at the start of the year. Fallen Kingdom is about on par with expectations. And Infinity War's legs were much better than most thought.
  9. McQuarrie definitely succeeded in changing up stylistically how Fallout was in look and tone compared to Rogue Nation. It felt like they were each made by a different director (other than certain plot points carrying from Rogue Nation of course).
  10. Yeah the first scene was a bit rough lol. Makes Nolan exposition seem like an everyday conversation. Rest of the movie was a blast and exhilarating and why I go see Mission Impossible films. But yeah not sure why people are blasting Fury Road's "thin plot" when frankly the plot isn't that much more interesting or complex in Fallout. But that's not the point of these films. Oh and I didn't find the score as distracting as I feared it would be which was good. Some parts did sound way too much like TDKR's score though.
