  1. I would hope so but you never can be sure considering it's not a Disney film. Rango won cause neither Cars 2 nor Winnie the Pooh were nominated that year.
  2. Ah yep extremely nervous. I'm curious as to why Mike and Bryan decided to do this. Like they seemed pretty burned out after Korra but I suppose that mostly to do with dealing with Nickelodeon. I'm kinda hoping that it's their way of getting into Netflix so that maybe they could do a third series over there (though I understand Nickelodeon has all the rights). Casting is going to be the most difficult challenge I would think. But they got Jeremy Zuckerman back to do the score so that's a good start.
  3. I'm gonna be so sad that this will probably do less than half of Venom's numbers (and I enjoyed Venom). I gotta agree that it's possibly the best Spider-Man movie. Certainly the best one since Spider-Man 2. They really captured the essence of what it means to be Spider-Man with all the fun and pain that it entails. Despite all the characters it is definitely Miles Morales' movie and it does a superb job of showing his hero's journey without it feeling like a retread of Peter Parker's. Please at least get nominated for Best Animated Feature (cause it ain't gonna win cause it's not Disney).
  4. Honestly we've had so many of these Disney live action underperformers it will almost seem like a surprise if Artemis Fowl succeeds.
  5. I think maybe why we associate GOTG as more a product of Gunn than Avengers as a product of Whedon is that GOTG is obviously more standalone but also how much Gunn kept saying how much freedom Marvel gave him especially with Vol 2 while we all know the battles Whedon had on Ultron (almost all of it in post production though).
  6. Nothing has topped Deep Wang's bomb of information about Black Panther's presales. Can't wait to see what's in store for Aquaman.
  7. I can hopefully get to see an advance screening of this on Dec 2. It's a great time to be a Spider-Man fan
  8. Man I want this to do well so badly but yeah I think because audiences are used to seeing these heroes in live action some people unfortunately see them in animated form as a "downgrade" and something skippable. Incredibles was an original idea (not withstanding similarities to Fantastic Four) and Big Hero 6 was virtually unknown to the GA. Now if this film had the backing of the brand of Disney, Pixar or Illumination I could have seen this doing bonkers at the box office.
  9. I just realised how little we know about Disney's 2020 releases in general. Avatar 2 is a guarantee and I guess its likely that Black Widow and The Eternals make up the MCU releases but we have no idea if a Star Wars film will be released then (probably not it seems now) and we have no idea what the Pixar and Disney Animation Films are.
  10. 1. Avengers 4 2. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 3. Detective Pikachu 4. The Lion King 5. Spider-Man: Far From Home 6. How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World 7. Glass 8. Toy Story 4 9. Captain Marvel 10. Frozen 2
  11. Sony (can't believe I'm saying this) isn't that dumb Ralph's RT Audience score is surprisingly really low. Doesn't seem to reflect WoM for the film so far though.
  12. Wreck-It Ralph also did come before Frozen and since then no Disney Animated Film has gone bellow $600M. I do believe Disney saw more potential with the film hence why it's got a sequel relatively soon compared to say how long Pixar waits to make their sequels. I mean 6 years seems long but remembering it takes 4 years usually in production for a Disney Animated Film as well as the fact Rich Moore had to stop to go help out on Zootopia.
