They will do double features with Avatar and Avatar 2 but I doubt they will do a full rerelease. -
Black Widow for now seeing around $250M-$300M DOM but the 10 Month gap from FFH will really help generate appetite for another MCU Film especially one that stars an Original Avenger. OS being an MCU thinking $400M OS is the floor but with the increased popularity of Marvel OS (Captain Marvel made $700M OS for goodness sake) I can see Black Widow easily making over $500M OS.

I think most people who legit think Avatar 2 is going to fail (idk what would be a barometer for failure but I'd be shocked with under $2 Billion) either don't realise or don't care how much it's going to benefit from the expansion of OS markets particularly in Asia.

I do understand your point but it's not like the MCU was built on massively popular superheroes who already were well known to audiences. I don't necessarily agree that Marvel got to where it is today by appealing to people's love of the comic book characters when most of the heroes they introduced were B List or in the case of GOTG C or D list at best. A bit different from the Star Wars sequel trilogy which could stand on the shoulders of the most popular and influential franchise in North America. The whole "I don't remember the names of those characters so no cultural impact" argument I find kinda silly by people cause I frankly forget 95% of the characters names in original movies that don't have sequels. I mean Captain America was already quite popular before the Trump era considering Winter Soldier came out in April 2014 and Civil War came out in May 2016 before the election.

I liked this episode more than last week. Got some nice character stuff at the start. The whole Euron fleet magical transportation and invisibility is stuff I've come to expect from the show anyways unfortunately.

I find to be the case all the time with CGI. Usually most of my CGI complaints that I see in trailers goes away when I watch in cinemas unless it's really bad.

Huh never noticed the "James Cameron's" in front of Avatar in the logo for the sequels. Pretty cool how one director can be a brand to stand up and above any franchise.

I imagine if reception to Endgame was closer to say Ultron the drop would have taken the crown from Homecoming as the Worst 2nd Weekend Drop for an MCU film.

Infinity War's Sunday drop on the 2nd Weekend was unusually low though (go back read that thread lot's of meltdowns by a few users) so never expected it to be replicated with Endgame.

Pretty remarkable how much Infinity War and Endgame have expanded the MCU considering both films are heavily linked to the previous continuity of the MCU.

Snyder is niche and if WB adjusted their expectations according to that and still hired him then cool hire him but clearly they were wanting their DCEU to appeal to as much of the audience as possible. That ain't happening with a Snyder film. I will admit though I will always be fascinated with what he had planned for the 5 Films (Man of Steel, BvS, JL 1, JL 2 and JL 3).
