  1. Four hours to go for me (and apparently going again Sunday with a cousin who had to cancel for tonight last-minute), really hope the theater is actually packed, and that we have a massive weekend ahead of us!
  2. Made it last night, enjoyed it!!! Oh, and to add to the anecdote…my cousin’s whole family decided to join us at the last second (both parents and two brothers). So strong walk-ups/higher end of estimates confirmed.
  3. Wow, made it through all 39 pages, what a ride. Thrilled to see these numbers and to contribute to them later tonight. Also wanted to add my own little anecdote — I had tickets to see SC with my cousin Thursday at 7, and when I picked our seats it was the fullest theater I would have been to post-pandemic (BW would have been close, but that’s it). BUT, neither of us, coming from opposite directions, having left early, and using every trick in the book, could get around the Ida-flooded roads to reach the theater. (In the Northeast U.S.) At 7 PM on the dot, I saw that Fandango had automatically cancelled and refunded the tickets. I then made my twice-the-normal-time trip back home. Neither of us had the heart to try again yesterday/Friday. Wish me luck tonight!
  4. My theater was about 80 percent full for a 7 PM showing last night…I live in one of the last places to lift its mask and social distancing mandates (6 weeks ago), and I’m pleasantly surprised by how quickly/easily a big majority of folks seem to have gone back to “normal,” given how people were talking and acting maybe the first full week after the restrictions were lifted. That second week saw a big shift, and seeing this movie felt like a real milestone (well, to me, anyway 😉). The last movie I saw before this was Godzilla versus Kong and there were maybe 10 people in the theater total then. Here’s hoping my anecdotal experience bodes well! I really enjoyed the movie, I think it should have broad appeal, even for folks that don’t follow the MCU.
  5. I’ve seen other people say that on Twitter. Was this one too? I didn’t think anything of either one, I’m not sure how you do one of these without a visual of the ship?
  6. See, I want to give a laughing reaction but I can’t! When I was able to do a shocked one to the Kevin Garnett gif above, lolololol. Me giving out 500 likes by noon EST is Endgame-levels of impossible numbers.
  7. I think there’s a glitch...it’s like every other one I try works, and the other half I get the “Sorry, you cannot add any more reactions today message.” Don’t know what’s going on.
  8. Since All My Children over here. Where he was recasted into a role originally played by...Chadwick Boseman! Can’t make that stuff up. So very happy for his and Creed’s success!
  9. Random thought here, Routh was on a soap opera that I watched, and looks aside, I was FLOORED when he got Superman. I mean, I proudly love my soaps, but when a guy stands out as bad among actors in the teen/college/young adult set on a daytime drama? You might not want him to headline your tentpole box office blockbuster. (Having said that, the writing for that movie wasn’t exactly inspired, so...) I don’t have strong feelings about Cavill (or Affleck) staying. I just wish I felt more certain that either of them leaving, if they do, meant that DC/WB had a clear idea of what they are going to do going forward with these characters and their stories.
  10. Dammit, I'll love Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor until the end of time, and I think she looks good. T2 is one of my absolute, all-time favorite movies (and I love T1). But dear GOD that is an AWFUL picture. Just awful. The other two look completely, utterly ridiculous. Even aside from the cheap-ass PhotoShop. WTF?
  11. Well, I’m at Infinity War — when I bought my seat earlier this afternoon, there were only 5 other tickets in the theater bought. It’s now completely full/sold out. Smallish theater, but still! That’s my anectdotal crowd report.
  12. Whitney with The Bodyguard? (I know she wasn’t the only artist on the full soundtrack album, but she had multiple hits off it, it sold entirely off of her, and I can only assume IWALY and the movie were #1 at the same time at some point, which just leaves having a #1 album?) Boy, do I 1000% agree with this sentiment! 😂
  13. I didn’t either! Damn, Black Panther just stays massive/record-breaking. What a phenom...Hope to help by contributing tonight, which would be my third time seeing it. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will hit that nice, round $500 million mark by tomorrow. Come on, Disney! Black Panther didn’t need your help the last two weekends, and may not need t for this one, but if it does, I think it’s more than earned the rare Disney fudge. #letsgo
  14. Heading to the theater for my second BP viewing....there were literally two seats left in the theater after I bought mine.
