  1. No not really. I was referring to mostly to Harrison’s nonsense. Lol. I think 10 year old me like the first one and was disappointed by the second.
  2. 1. Knives Out 2. Frozen II 3. A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood 4. 1917 5. Maleficent 6. Last Christmas 7. The Lighthouse 8. Portrait of a Lady on Fire 9. Cats 10. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
  3. Do I drive 45 minutes to see this early? 🤔 (of course I do, the real question is Can I wait to Saturday?)
  4. Robert Evans said that in the 1960s. = The explosion of the superhero genre is really no different than the raise and fall of the Western and the Musical. You could even toss in New Hollywood Cinema (Shout Out to Cannastop and Jason's List, lots of good movies there) or the 90s Independent Film Movement if you want to look at trends. It comes from a mixture of right film at the right time, Industry apery, audience's ever-changing tastes (and I'd toss in need for escapism). Like all good genres, it will come to an end. And something else will take is place. The beat goes on, as Cher would say.
  5. If you have an issue with a thread, please use the Report Function so we can know exactly what your referring to. Thanks!
  6. First off, @Porthos: Just @ me Second off, fantastic write up. Third off,
  7. Don't be!!! Yours are great too! I pulled that out of some old post I wrote for Panda's Top 100. (Though, you can think of it as preview to the Top 50 Musicals.)

Will Smith's fairing even worst with a 0.332M average for Gemini Man. v Finale Sales Comps Lincoln Square 13 Jexi 49 -- -- Racing In Rain 38 128.94% 0.580M Rocketman 460 10.65% 0.186M Addams Family 69 -- -- Pets 2 152 45.39% 1.04M Pika Pika 613 11.26% 0.641M Toy Story 4 1273 5.42% 0.650M Gemini Man 319 -- -- Hobbs & Shaw 525 60.76% 3.52M MIB3 653 48.85% 1.51M John Wick 3 675 47.25% 2.78M Jexi: 0.383M Addams Family: 0.777M Gemini Man: 2.60M What's wild about Gemini Man is that at LS13 it ONLY showed on the IMAX screen. No Dolby, No Standard showings. Just two IMAX showings that didn't fully sell. Addams Family behind Pets at LC13 I find HMM. I would not be shocked in it went under 1M. I don't have enough Jexi comps to know if the 100K or 500K feels better, so I split the difference. I have AMC Empire 25 numbers but no comps, so just raw data on those. AMC 25 Jexi 45 268 16.79% Gemini Man 601 1893 31.74% Addams Family 190 947 20.06%
  9. I think we're going to go see it again tomorrow. Or Gemini Man. Depends on what Mom wants. It's finally at my local theater next door, so I can sneak over if she won't go with me.
  10. Spoiler Alert: Addams Family sold zero tickets at Cinemagic for its 4PM shows. Should be a fun night!
