  1. She’s been in four movies so far. Assuming she’s not in any other DC movies, then her third solo movie would make five.
  2. Well, I just some links in the HBO Max thread that said that WW84 is indeed doing very well on the service, so I guess they’re serious about this announcement after all. In that case, my hope is that they can maybe get Allan Heinberg back.
  3. Am I being constantly negative? I was asking an honest question. I have no clue how this movie is performing with HBO Max.
  4. People generally seem to like AM, Amber Heard controversy notwithstanding.
  5. This franchise (the DCEU) just can’t catch a break. The fact that the Matt Reeves movie has nothing to do with this continuity has got to be the biggest thing it has going for it.
  6. Jeez, the bodysnatching aspect of this movie gets worse and worse the more I think about it. It was already weird enough when Ant-Man and the Wasp did it, but it’s worse here. Can we please leave stuff like this specifically for the bad guys to do?
  7. I keep forgetting that Geoff Johns also wrote the script for this movie. Would it be fair to blame him for some of the more...problematic aspects of the script? I just want to be as fair to Patty Jenkins as possible.
  8. The only DC character who WB seems interested in doing outside of the DCEU is Batman.
  9. When you put it like that, it was pretty smart of them to include Saïd Taghmaoui’s character in the first one.
  10. Yeah, I don’t think it’s fair to paint Legendary as unreasonable over this, especially when they’re the ones who financed the majority of these films.
  11. Not gonna lie, I was actually halfway expecting the Cinemascore rating to be even lower than that. I know a B+ is below average for a movie like this, but with how people have been talking about it, I wouldn’t have been surprised if it scored even lower than that.
  12. Frankly, I’m not even sure if Patty Jenkins genuinely wants to return for a third movie. I know she said she’s working on a third one, but they always say stuff like that about franchise movies. It could easily just be PR talk.
  13. People overstate how disappointing Shazam! performed. It was made on a relatively modest budget and was released just a few weeks before the highest grossing movie of all time (at least worldwide). It’s also tied with the first WW in terms of having the highest Cinemascore rating in the DCEU. It did fine.
  14. People are pretty mad about the film’s depiction of Arabs. Some people seem to think Gal Gadot had a hand in that. What about Sameer from the first movie?
  15. I think it’s pretty forgivable that they wouldn’t have expected BoP to bomb. Harley Quinn was the most popular part of the financially successful Suicide Squad, and Margot Robbie seems to be a popular actress. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman was a critical and commercial success that had great legs for a superhero movie, so it’s not shocking that they’d trust Patty Jenkins with this one. Ultimately though, I guess 2020 just wasn’t DC’s year, especially after 2019 turned out pretty good for them.
  16. There might have been some voting manipulation going on. The movie only got a B+ Cinemascore rating.
  17. I just realized that David Callaham is set to write Into the Spider-Verse 2. I don’t care much about Shang-Chi, but him writing a sequel to my favorite superhero movie of 2018 might be just a tad concerning.
