    My thoughts exactly. If this were a film with significant ramifications for the MCU, I could maybe understand delaying it again, but it’s a midquel. It’s clearly not supposed to be one of the bigger MCU stories of Phase 4 or whatever this is, so I don’t see why it needs the constant delays.

    I don’t see any reason to hold up the rest of the MCU slate by constantly postponing this movie. They might as well go with a dual release. It doesn’t mean they’d have to do it for all the MCU movies.

    I’m assuming Carano was already warned about this, in which case, that would make her tweet all the more dumb. Still, maybe Disney should’ve given her the chance to apologize before giving her the boot.

    That seems unlikely. The success of this show is probably enough to let her hold onto her job for the foreseeable future.

    I’m not looking forward to what the discourse surrounding this will be like. The last time Disney fired a conservative actor for saying something stupid, trolls retaliated by temporarily getting James Gunn fired.

    If that’s the case, they might as well stop making movies set in a universe that Snyder created.

    Who are the two somewhat problematic people? I assume one of them is Letitia Wright, but what about the other one? Is it Gal Gadot or something?

    I’ve got some interesting memories when it comes to 2017. In terms of the box office, I enjoyed following the legs for Wonder Woman, and I was annoyed at how much the BatB remake made. I was also disappointed by how poorly BR2049 performed, but in hindsight, that shouldn’t have been surprising. Same goes for JL. I suppose I’d say the biggest surprises of that year were Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and The Greatest Showman.

    If Cavill can’t come back, they should just do what they're doing with Batman and make a standalone Superman series that has no connection to the DCEU.

    This “will they/won’t they” talk surrounding Henry Cavill’s future as Superman has been going on for nearly two and a half years at this point. I don’t understand why we can’t get a clear answer. If Cavill isn’t coming back, just say it and move on.

    I jumped when I saw that headline, but I’ve never heard of this website before, so I shouldn’t get too excited. Seriously though, if WB has any common sense, they should do this.

    It involves a Superman with a warped sense of morality. Stories like that are overdone at this point. Anyway, we’re getting off topic here. This is supposed to be a thread about Robert Pattinson’s Batman.

    Godzilla has a more devoted fanbase. Kong seems to have more global appeal, though.

    I don’t really care about how the anime trilogy handles Mechagodzilla. I just think those films are painfully unengaging and dull.
