  1. If this movie doesn’t do well, something tells me we’re going to hear a lot of “this movie should’ve taken place on Sonic’s home planet” takes.
  2. It would certainly be interesting to see how people would react to Brie Larson and Gal Gadot presenting together.
  3. Despite being made by a Japanese company, Sonic the Hedgehog has never been that popular in the East. He’s a character who was made specifically to be as appealing to a Western audience as possible. That’s why he has the Mickey Mouse gloves, the Michael Jackson shoes, the too cool for school attitude, and an archenemy who looks like Theodore Roosevelt. There’s no reason Paramount should expect this movie to do especially well overseas.
  4. For a completely new category that seems to have been made just so they could say that it got nominated for a Razzie. 🙄
  5. I’ve heard about that. When the clip from FFH had Mysterio refer to the MCU as Earth-616, a few people online considered that a continuity error. Aren’t Raimi’s Spider-Man movies also part of the multiverse?
  6. Speaking of the multiverse, isn't the MCU part of the same multiverse as the 616 Marvel comics universe?
  7. Don’t do it, Joaquin! Don’t sell out to the Mouse and their soulless live action remakes!
  8. I don’t want to see Joaquin Phoenix in a full-on superhero movie. Joker works a lot better as its own thing that exists separately from anything to do with superheroes. It’s why I wish the movie would’ve killed off Bruce Wayne along with his parents.
  9. Maybe it’s just a result of how depressing the news regarding Birds of Prey is (and I wasn’t even looking forward to that one), but I’m actually kind of warming up to the Matt Reeves Batman film. At this point, I’m all for rebooting Batman. I just hope WB has the sense to keep Robert Pattinson’s Batman separate from the other DC movie franchises.
  10. Shazam! did perfectly fine for a movie that was sandwiched in between two big Marvel films, the latter of which is officially the highest grossing movie of all time. As for Birds of Prey, though, yeah, things are not looking good at all.
  11. I wish I could say that I was joking, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the alt-right types manage to successfully do everything in their power to make James Gunn’s name as toxic as possible.
  12. Wait, you haven’t seen Richard Jewell or Charlie’s Angels, but you think the former should’ve been rated higher, while the latter should’ve been rated lower? What?
  13. If critics will give negative ratings to any movie with a conservative leaning narrative, I’d love to hear the explanation for why Richard Jewell received much better reviews than something like Charlie’s Angels.
  14. “Film Twitter” makes no sense as a label for a specific group. That’s an incredibly broad and all-encompassing term.
  15. Joaquin Phoenix has always been a fairly outspoken advocate for social and humanitarian causes. That’s nothing new. It might not earn him the favor of Ricky Gervais fans, though...
  16. The answer obviously can’t be “as much as he wants”, because he would still have to tie Scarlet Witch and the multiverse into it, while also making sure he doesn’t do anything that might blatantly contradict the rest of the MCU, or that might go against what Feige has planned.
