  1. NWH had late marketing. Four months isn’t really a problem. With that said, I really wish they would put this back to the 23rd. Who cares if it’s coming out a week before Indy 5 at this point?
  2. I didn’t say that, but Gunn has recently indicated that he intends to keep actors like Margot Robbie around. If he intends to do that, then it kind of defeats the purpose of doing a reboot in the first place, and would beg the question of why he’d get rid of Gal Gadot.
  3. I guess it’s a testament to the high expectations we place on James Cameron that even though TWoW is bound to be the biggest movie of the year worldwide, people still consider that a disappointment.
  4. It’s not “starting over from scratch” if they’re still keeping the Suicide Squad cast.
  5. Those Tuesday numbers are pretty reassuring, but if the cold front has a noticeable impact on the movie for the next few days, I’m sure the Internet will go back to doomposting.
  6. There’s really no reason this can’t move to the 13th. It worked fine for Jumanji.
  7. My point is that I don’t think anyone ever really assumed that they were planning a reboot in the first place. The official word from both Sony and Marvel has always been that, yes, there will be another MCU Spider-Man movie. I personally could live without another one, but I know Sony is gonna want to keep Tom Holland for as long as possible.
  8. When was it ever suggested that a reboot was happening? Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal both stated last year that they were developing a fourth movie, and if I recall, Pascal even claimed the plan is for another trilogy. Mind you, I personally would be fine if they didn’t do another Tom Holland movie, but I thought it was a no-brainer that Sony and Marvel are planning another one?
  9. “Could it have anything to do with KK’s desire to destroy every male character that either George or he created?” Do these people ever get tired?
  10. I don’t get why Kiri needed to be played by Sigourney Weaver, unless the plan is to reveal that she’s somehow Grace’s reincarnation. Neytiri was definitely shafted in this, but I suppose that was inevitable, since they had to devote time to the kids, although even then, Neteyam also didn’t feel like he got much focus, even though his death is the big emotional moment of the film. I’m also wondering if they plan on giving Quaritch some Darth Vader style redemption. This movie took small steps to try and give him more depth than just being the evil army guy, and his final scene with Spider is practically begging to be followed up on. Speaking of Spider, I don’t know how to feel about Neytiri’s treatment of him. I can only hope they address that in the next movie.
  11. I finally saw the movie. I enjoyed it. It more or less delivers what I would expect from an Avatar sequel. I can safely say that I am interested to see more of this story, although I don’t know if we need three more sequels. I like what Jon Landau said about the direction they plan to take the fifth film, but couldn’t they do that in movie four?
  12. Wasn’t it reported a while back that Nolan’s relationship with WB was already turning sour, and that the day and date strategy for HBO Max was simply the final straw for him?
  13. The idea of nuking the Snyderverse from orbit and replacing it with a new universe seems to be partly why these fans are being the way they are. That’s another reason why I think they shouldn’t even continue to bother with interconnectivity, and just make more solo franchises like Matt Reeves’ Batman. By all means, put the Snyderverse to bed, but why bother trying to replace it at this point?
  14. Going back to Batman’s roots would entail him being a killer who uses guns and wears purple gloves.
  15. I will say; Aquaman being in sixth place on that poll without so much as a single teaser isn’t too shabby.
  16. I hope this does well, but I don’t think those supposed trailer views are a good indicator.
  17. If 2023 isn’t a comeback year for movie theaters, we’re gonna be in some trouble.
