Being released in the Summer didn’t hurt Tenet. July is clearly Nolan’s preferred date.

If the Flash movie is truly as good as the scoopers are claiming, then I could potentially see a scenario where it makes more than The Batman. The big unknown variable in all of this is the Ezra Miller drama, which is a complete wildcard in terms of how it might impact the movie.

I’m still not expecting the OW to crack the top 10, but somewhere around $160-180 million seems like a reasonable bet.

The most annoying thing in this particular case is that the Variety article isn’t even about DC. They just threw in a line in the article where they claim a reboot is happening, and their source is the THR article from last week. It’s so obvious they put that in there because they knew it would get more people talking and sharing the article.

These trades are getting really annoying. James Gunn mentioned a while back that no one other than him and Peter Safran know what their plans are, and I’m pretty sure that’s still the case. Do these journalists not have anything else to talk about?

You’re making a lot of assumptions here, but I should just point out for the record that if we assume this to be the case, that would mean that Peacemaker isn’t getting a second season.

This movie making a billion dollars in China would actually be a pretty big middle finger to the CCP. They really don’t like it when foreign movies make more than their own.

In the case of Avatar, the state of the Earth is apparently pretty bleak. I assume that’ll be addressed by movie 5, though.

They can’t reshoot this film to replace Miller. Miller is playing the Flash here, end of story.

I’m sorry, what? Wasn’t it reported in the week Black Adam was released that Hamada was against bringing Cavill back, because he wanted to move away from Snyder’s vision?

That’s sounds like exactly the kind of thing I was hoping they’d do with the sequels. Introducing some moral complexity to the story, and showing that things aren’t so black and white.

The past couple of days of DC headlines have been exhausting to read about for that reason. And all of this was apparently the result of Patty Jenkins deciding to walk out of Wonder Woman 3.

Jeez, if that Batman Beyond thing is true, then it sure sounds like Walter Hamada was just throwing stuff at the wall to see what would stick. What would even be the point of doing a Batman Beyond movie without the cyberpunk setting?
