When I went to the advanced screening for crazy rich asians it was a packed and every demographic was present in theaters. It wasn't even mostly asians.

Just getting home from the screening in LA. I honestly thought from the trailers this movie would be cringe/cheesy, but to my surprise its actually a really good rom com. One of the best if not the best ive seen in the past 5 years. I almost teared up a couple times. After the movie ended Awkafina and the guy that plays the gay stylist in the movie came out and did a short Q&A and threw some souvenirs to people in the audience. Additionally, some of the collider people were in the audience as well and the only reason I noticed them is because they raised their hand to ask questions during the Q&A. I had a good time. I might even see it again. The girl next to me kept crying/whimpering the entire time so I couldn't really hear some parts.

At the AMC about 25 mins away someone refunded their ticket which is a good seat. So I guess im going to go tonight by my lonesome!

Theres a "girls night out" screening of this today at 8PM at a variety of AMC theaters I just found out about. They are all pretty much sold out with like one seat avail per each theater. So annoyed I didnt know about this earlier? I wouldve used A-list to get tickets. SMH

Its interesting that next wednesday is doing well for CRA at your local theaters. I just checked AMC's in LA and its doing decent. best I saw was like 30-40% full.

Yeah and those films had massive issues. Ghost in the shell was riddled with bad press about the casting, DB evolution was a freaking terrible film that had no connection to the show or comics. Im not sure about speed racer though I didnt really follow that movie.

LMAO theres no point now you can't see shit. They wouldn't show any of the movies at my local indie theater on the app. and they blatantly dont put most showings on the app for like every theater. its pointless now. People have been saying on reddit that the app will show a movie/showtime and by the time they get to the theater the movie disappears.

I thought the premium screening was every month, of course you could only see it after 30 days after your last premium showing which is BS. also, I heard they have you pay the booking fee now which wasn't the case when I had it. Ive seen this clown at politicon. When I was waiting in line to see him debate another guest, people in line kept talking to me like "I love Dinesh, he spews the truth" I just couldn't believe he actually has fans. What a world we live in. I only went to that panel because 1. the other panels at the time were not interesting 2. he was debating someone I like.
