what the hell.. wasn't it tracking for 42M-45M opening just few days ago and now the total is expected to be 47m.. China Box Office is so weird -
this is a very bad number.. the third act was really good but the rest of the movie was super disappointing so I don't expect it to have good legs or anything I'm still very excited for the sequels so I hope the OS will compensate for the domestic underperformance so that WB can keep going forward with this franchise 😟

Fantastic hold for Venom all things considered. shocked this wasn't as frontloaded as the other superhero comedies that came out this year on their 2nd weekend (AMATW and DP2). I know this is a stretch (and will mainly depend on China) but can you imagine if a Sony made Venom movie that's not set in the MCU nor featuring spider-man outgrosses the freaking Justice League?

haven't seen ASIB but I think Venom will get B/B+, the movie was hilarious and the crowd I was with seemed to enjoy it.
