  1. Yeah, I had higher hopes for this one, but it doesn't seem to be catching on.
  2. Eh, there's no US team in the World Cup this year, so is it even really happening?
  3. I don't think Disney cares about $700, but they aren't going to pull the movie while it's bringing in money. And it seems to me it should crawl over. I do think they care about Wrinkle making to $100, but that looks extremely unlikely at this point.
  4. Still lots of phone calls, but even in a work context email is close to vanishing for me. Everything is some mix of texting and slack-like chat. It was kinda weird when I recently realized I hadn't sent an email in weeks.
  5. When you ask for sources and sources are provided, the correct next step is to accept it, not to continue arguing it.
  6. I see how this "informed discussion" about box office is going to go once people want to toss out the Cinemascore. Outta here.
  7. OK, fact then. D+ Cinemascore. Absolutely awful result. People in a professional survey didn't like it. Why is everyone so defensive about this movie? Bizarre.
  8. Yes, this is indeed the box office forum. Not the critical review forum. And audiences don't seem to like this movie, so it's going to do poorly at the box office. Has nothing to do with quality. It rarely does.
  9. Sounds like this will have no legs at all.
  10. December looks more to me like: 1. Mary Poppins 2. Aquaman 3. Bumblebee 4. Spiderverse 5. Mortal Engines 6. Alita As interesting as this animation looks, it's still a Spiderman cartoon.
  11. Gaga's acting looks...adequate. The rest of it looks much better than I expected. Certainly in terms of finding an audience.
  12. Still no interest at all in this. Some cool animation that looks wasted on yet another spiderman origin story.
  13. I'm trying to imagine that spiderman cartoon being a factor at all. Failing.
