  1. Mary Poppins depends almost entirely on Emily's take on the title character. Nothing else really matters, and that part is totally unknown at present.
  2. Oh wow, there's a National Treasure novel series about the ancestors of the main character solving mysteries and such.
  3. I still don't believe a man going through a midlife crisis and getting help from his childhood stuffed animals is going to be the blockbuster of fall.
  4. I'm just happy a film like Gotti is given a chance to find the couple hundred thousand people who will pay to see it.
  5. My understanding has been they count the entire double feature gross for both films. It's the lamest of lame tricks.

  18. He's one of those writers who is always working but never gets much attention. Producer Marc Platt is how the cast was recruited, I'm sure.
