  1. Indiana Jones 5 over $500 million domestic??? What????? I love Indy, but it will be lucky to make much over $320 million domestic. And Aqua2 will probably make in that range also, even with the holiday release date.
  2. Denver's numbers are looking MUCH better than they had looked earlier. Any ThorLT comps for Denver?
  3. I wish we had Seattle comps. Very liberal city but with a low % of African Americans. Would be interesting to see how it stacks up. I sure do like those Alamo Drafthouse numbers. And those Philly numbers are pretty good too. Really surprised at how "low" the Denver numbers are.
  4. So barring a HUGE last week of sales, BPWF's numbers are looking more and more like $25-$28 million preview and $170-$180 million OW. Correct assessment?
  5. Just trying to educate myself after all these years. What do the numbers mean? Let me see if I am correct: 105940=number of total MTC2 shows sold? 603851=number of total shows available? 1538930.08=NO CLUE 4405=not sure? maybe number of shows sold TODAY??? +3766=number of new shows available? (maybe I have no clue)
  6. 6-part podcast begins today https://www.marvel.com/articles/podcasts/wakanda-forever-the-official-black-panther-podcast-debuts-november-3?linkId=187855713
  7. I wonder if the Avatar WOW trailer drop will impact the sales of BPWF tickets. Before people say "one thing has nothing to do with another" just wait to see the press go crazy over Avatar.
  8. I have dreams of world peace, harmony in society, stopping hunger, curing all forms of cancer, and people NOT talking about what Leticia said a year ago.
  9. Haven't been able to find anything about an "Art of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" book. The book for the first one was out the week of the movie's release. I hope they put one out for this.
  10. It's interesting that a few days ago we wondered why there was little to no talk of Lupita or Winston. But suddenly, I am seeing story and article after story and article about those two more than anyone else. Nothing plot related, but there's more discussion about them in general.
  11. Good story BUT have you seen the TV ads for the past week? They've been pretty action-packed and upbeat. They've changed their tune quite a bit.
  12. Plus the fact that she's been at EVERY press event, panel, interview, etc. and has been very enthusiastic and a positive force indicates that we should let bygones be bygones. Her heart is in this and has been a powerful until with Denai, Lupita, Winston, and Angela. SO much I can't WAIT to discuss after seeing the movie on Noevmeber 12!
  13. Yeah I had the same questions. Less than $25 million would be extremely disappointing. But if you look at Sacramento and Philadelphia comps, they look promising. No clue how to read into that Alpha chain report and how that works.(what is weighted and unweighted).
  14. Wish will be a HUGE hit next year. Multicultural princess with appearances from legendary characters. Again, it's a musical and they all do well, but still.
  15. Yeah, and even a small percentage of schools being out can actually yield bigger numbers than normal. It may be 15-20% higher than it would have been on a normal Friday. Problem is, we don't have a collection of past Veterans Day blockbuster openings to compare. Good Friday is always on Friday (Mr. obvious I know), but Veterans Day is rarely a Friday. So what data do we actually have?
  16. I think it was more of a "how the hell are they going to pull this off now?" situation. It was the ultimate against the odds for defeated heroes situation.
  17. Due to Veterans Day, is BPWF's previews expected to take up a lower-than-usual percentage of its opening day? (THL&T was 41.7%, DSMoM was 39.7%, NWH 41%, and TBM 38.2%). And if so, how much of a difference might it be? (in other words, could the Thursday number be slightly muted and Friday make up for it?)
