They are trying to trick us into thinking that Shuri is the definitive BP. I think multiple BP's at some point may be an idea, but there will probably end up being just one.

When the first teaser came out and the only dialogue we heard was Angela Bassett, we were left with our jaws hanging. Since then (yeah, I know it's only short teasers and trailers), the dialogue we've heard has been........ummmmmmm.....well......you know.

This. MoM and ThLT's multipliers were absolutely pitiful. There's even a chance at 3.0X. After this weekend, the tracking will go into full throttle mode.

Probably not. Thor LT took 2 months. So did Shang Chi. They short changed DSMoM. I am guessing they will keep this in the theaters until at least after MLK weekend-ESPECIALLY if it is approaching a landmark number (like $500 or $600 million domestic and/or $1 billion WW).

That's okay. Eternals was "different" so there's that. NWH had the nostalgia thing going. DSMoM had the "horror" thing (hardly that). ThL+T had the "humor" as overdone as it was. We don't need completely different. Unfortunate circumstances already make it different.

How much of a bump did DSMoM and ThL&T see after their social embargoes lifted? From what I recall (and just read back on), they had very positive reactions. Hell, Eternals also had very positive reactions when its social embargo lifted and we all know how that turned out Did Eternals also see a bump in presales after that?

Why does it seem like the average of the Alamo Drafthouse comps are reflecting what seems like a very reasonable and predictable OW for BPW? And is it my feeble understanding of all of this, or are BPWF's numbers looking better and better?

I think the person posting that thought they were responding to a Black Adam post. Btw, why is there such a disparity between the MoM comps and ThL&T comps (for BPWF)? In other words, why were pre-sales so different for MoM and THLT?

People say that the whole Southlands was a waste. But was it? The reason Sauron wanted it so bad is because he wanted a diversion war while he had his minions create the volcanic eruption that resulted in Mount Doom. He wanted to take over that land while attracting as many there to their death as possible. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to anyone, he had the first ring, the ONE ring forged there. But of course he couldn't use it for power unless he had others he could control. So the other three made by the elves were done so by his mind control so that he could rule them. At the end, both Celebrimbor and Galadriel were under his mind control and Elrond was not. And yeah it's obvious that the bearded one is Gandalf OR Saruman. We will likely see the entire council of wizards. Part of me wonders if Elrond seeks the wizards in order to release Galadriel from the ring's control. This show started off slow, but got really good in the last 3 episodes. Now there's truly (at least in me) a feeling of not wanting to wait to see what happens next.

I actually quite liked that last episode. They actually have somewhere to go in the 2nd season. Whether this will actually last 5 seasons, I am not sure.

Good question. Understood if it isn't immediate, but a whole year? I guess that will have to be explained. Or maybe it was always just mean to be a male heir (which is not always possible). We shall see. I do understand, a bit, why they are making it a time jump. Having T'Challa's death happen on screen or very recently might tap into some of the trauma of just having lost him.

People can post anything and anywhere they want. However, I don't care about Halloween Ends and I am really not that interested in Black Adam. But I don't go posting on the thread for those movies saying "I really don't care about this movie". I just don't post there. If I did post there, I would probably get and deserve the same question. It wasn't meant as an insult. It was clearly just asking "why are you saying you don't care in a thread about a movie you don't care about?". Seems pretty legit to me.

Does BOP base anything on actual tracking and real numbers? \ Seems like they just figured +/- 10% of BP1's opening for BPWF's opening. Then, it seems like they figured a range of multipliers from previous November movies for the domestic total.
