Easily the best episode of the season and in the top tier for the show. Awesome. @Porthos I wasn't sure about that theory earlier but you have convinced me. -
We have seen holidays deflate things in the past, so not too worried about yesterday's pace drop for GOTG3. But the presales in general suck, which is the bigger issue.

I don't think that would work unless you make massive changes to the story. You would have a season 1 finale where the climax is him getting petrified lol.

The hype from the fanbase is pretty big. Trailer has done pretty well also. That said it's a weird situation where this has a lot of hooks for the hardcore fans but for general audiences it seems they're banking on people being intrigued by Ahsoka in Mando and by cool lightsaber fights. No idea how it'll play out but I do think initial viewership will be higher than Andor. Personally I'm over the moon with this trailer. We're finally gonna see how the hook from Rebels resolves and the characters look great in live action.

QM, DS2, Thor 4 were all received worse than Thor 2 and IM3.

It's more that usually you hear about the premiere a few days in advance through people getting invites and tweeting about it and so on, here there's been nothing other than the Average Socialite website. I would hope it's true though, given that there seems to be reduced hype the movie could use good WOM getting out there.

We don't have a hard premiere date yet I thought (as we discussed in the GOTG thread that website keeps changing it). Anyway very poor start (by MCU standards) from what I can see. I think 24h PS could end significantly below Ant-Man 3. We'll see if it can recover but definitely feels like brand damage is catching up to the MCU.

It's not perfect but with MCU movies there are some who buy as soon as they go on sale. Usually does indicate in a rough sense how PS day 1 will go relative to other films.
