  1. Jim believes rich people torture children to gather adrenalin to create psychedelic drugs. "adrenochroming" and it takes up about 2 minutes to see this conspiracy takes its roots in anti semitism. He sucks and is a weirdo. Funny how he has so little to say about the continued abuse by churches of minors.
  2. Love me some Neeson schlock. Will watch. I'm confused though just at how many films he keeps pumping out when none of them seem to do well. There must be some tax loophole somewhere being exploited. Even after this he already has 4 more films coming up.
  3. Some exec somewhere is cooking up an idea to make a cross over film with Underworld, Milla RE films, The Mummy and Van Helsing.
  4. Hoping this turns out well. I love Wan. Can't help but feel like DC/WB have been meddling with the film.Wan's relationship to WB seems to have soured and he's moved on.
  5. I gotta say the trailer and marketing for this has been kind of whatever. I don't know, obviously you can't recreate the viral Cavill moment, but everything has been pretty flat to me marketing wise. I can see why tracking isn't jumping out crazy. I'm sure it will still do well but I'm not feeling much hype. I'm very excited for the film and will be there opening weekend though. Recently bought the 4K physical collection gonna give it another run through.
  6. Is that why armor wars was removed as a show and made a movie and echo is being cold dumped all at once?
  7. I don't think millennials do either tbh. Would be something if this makes less than Uncharted. Because I think there's a strong case to be made that even though obviously derivative, that Nathan Drake is a couple gens Indiana Jones because of the games.
  8. The Boogeyman holds confuse me because it was pretty bad, and I don't think I've seen anyone say something positive about it. Guess it's just a case of being the only horror around until Insidious. Still confused about why studios decided to drop popes exorcist and renfield same day with clear gaps on the calendar.
  9. Well seems like they have slowed down on making them massively, so thank god for that. Must have realized they were actively hurting the brand.
  10. I kind of put it in that Keaton Batman bracket personally, where the time for nostalgia cash ins has passed because it's a character not really beloved like that by younger generations.
  11. Disney should just scrap anymore MCU shows. They just are not good. They are watering down the product. The fact they actually made a show because a song became a meme is just inane. Werewolf by night and Loki are fine, everything else is varying degrees of bad.
  12. Not counting asteroid city, 6 of his 10 films weren't able to double their budget at the box office. He's carved himself out a nice niche lane, but he isn't a draw.
  13. It's not hate. Just saying Wes Anderson is not a draw like that and doesn't belong in a sentence with people like Nolan. He makes silly quirky comedies with all star casts, it's not likes he out here making polarizing art house stuff, he isnt Lars Von Trier or something. And almost all of PTA's films are financial flops. The opposite of a draw. Being a critical darling doesn't mean you are a draw.
  14. Todd Phillips comedy films pretty consistently made money. The Hangover Pt. 2 alone made more money than Wes Andersons entire filmography combined.
  15. Not sure how you can say Wes Anderson has draw power. And he certainly does not belong in the same sentence as those other director's. He has 1 film that has made over 100M.
  16. When it's just Gunn writing a script and talking to a couple of people like Safran and Zas, it's pretty easy to keep a lid on what's happening. When you're doing casting calls and auditions, the amount of people knowing about it about grows exponentially and it would be pretty hard to keep that unknown.
  17. I mean, not for nothing but he has been making some pretty big, ego filled commentary lately and if he fails with DCU it's all gonna be thrown in his face just like what happened with Dwayne. But this is the guy who said Scorcese was jealous of the MCU, so it shouldn't be too surprising at his ego.
  18. Hot take, but Wes Anderson peaked with The Royal Tenenbaums and Gene Hackman performance centers all the other characters and weird eccentricities of Wes work. Wes needs to work with another actor that hates his guts.
  19. In the last 10 years DC leadership has changed 5 times. Snyder Johns Hamada De Luca and Abdy Gunn and Safran And each time, they announced a slew of projects with the vast majority never seeing the light of day. Seriously, going back and reading the announced DC projects in the last 10 years is downright insane. Each leadership change had their own ideas, end credits that tease projects that never happen, casts that get tossed in and out, reboots, tweaks, etc etc etc The brand is so damaged at this point that you cannot trust a single thing from DC. Even if you like something it goes nowhere anyway! Why should audiences care? It's no surprise that Joker and The Batman are the big successes.
