17.5 million households, anywhere from 1 to 4 people per household. You do the math.

I seen this movie twice. Let me just say, I seen more people walking out of the theater a little let down than pumped. First time, I went with a party of 13 people, some fanboys and one considered a general audience, and nobody walked away happy. I went again last night with my mom. She enjoyed the movie, but as I was leaving, I was hearing quite a few murmurs from the audience about how it didn't feel right, that it was missing something. IW was more fun, and had great interactions with Tony, Thor, Peter, GOTG and Stephen Lang. End Game didn't have that to be honest. I seriously feel that it was Thor's arc and the whole thing between Tony, GOTG and Peter that made Infinity War so rewatchable, and well, End Game dropped the ball in my opinion concerning these characters. End Game had one scene in it that had me pumped, but other than that, the movie was kind of depressing. I'm more than likely wrong, and I sure as hell can't foresee what this film will be like just from my personal experience. But, I won't be surprised if in the end, the movie starts to perform more like Age of Ultron by it's third week after the newness wears off.

I have mixed feelings about this.

On one hand I want it to do well

On the other hand I don't want it to do more than or less than 312 million as i put that as my derby prediction

    Re non-holiday thing.

6 years ago, Dhoom:3 released in India and everyone was like the buzz is huge and all but since its releasing on non-holiday, it won't be able to cross the opening day record. I was in same group of people, more so because I don't like Aamir Khan and Chennai Express held the opening records.

But by the time Monday before release came, I was fucking sure of OD record. That film created OD record on a Non-Holiday in India and then OW record and eventually record grosser of all time.

What I am saying, when there is demand and film is good, you don't really need Holiday. It's not that you gonna face capacity problem, as all Endgame needs is 40% occupancy and it will hit ¥550-575mn on 220k shows. For ¥450mn, it only needs 30%.

    A:IW day wise occupancy

    Previews: 51%

    Friday: 40%

    Saturday: 48%

    Sunday: 32%

    Dhoom 3 wasn't good tho

Now that I put the list, realised how similar is it to China.

    (Indian in me right now:apocalypse:)

2 FF films at top, with the 8th one crossing the 7th in local currency but barely crossing in USD. Infinity War ended up 3rd and a big jump on Age of Ultron.

JW and MI also doing big.

And most likely Endgame will finally be top grosser in both territories from MCU.

A:IW was huge here but not on the level of Fast 8.

It did break the opening weekend record though by earning 8 crores.

A:EG is projected to open above 10 crores +
