  1. You guys think at what range SC has to open to finally make studio think that we have gone back to pre-pandemic time?
  2. In the past few weeks, I didn't see much differenc Yes, the number look pretty normal and stable to me. In fact, the impact of day-to-date model to box office is even more evident than delta.
  3. How is UK box office compared to pre-pandemic average? I feel like recovery in UK is much better than in domestic place.
  4. Hope people can quickly get themselves vaccinated and everything in time for SC's opening week theater trip. I heard NY need vaccine passport to enter cinema now
  5. This does make me wonder if it is better for FG to take up Father day slot, instead of this late into summer in August.
  6. If FG preview can come at 2.5m or 2.6m, then the chances are higher. This is box office, from the day when the preview number are out, the box office range are pretty much locked due to carry over effect.
  7. More importantly, the strategy fit in well to the tik-tok world since they made marketing more interactive.
  8. Did they not realised they AQP2 alone, outrun WB's entire summer releases, ITH, Conjuring 3 and TSS combined?
  9. And because of their one-model fir all strategy (even by pandemic standard), Dune now has to suffer....
  10. 45 days seem good, no need to rush out for subscribers , since they will have the entire window all for themselves for the rest of the time after the movies finish their run in cinema
  11. Beaten by both JC and FG could be a good "lesson" for WB in regard to their free HBO max services.

  13. Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Free Guy’ Scores $2.2M In Thursday Night Previews – Deadline In what is a big win for an original piece of IP in the middle of August when kids are heading back to school, in particular during the pandemic, Disney’s 20th Century Studios’ Free Guy was truly vibrant yesterday with $10.5M first day, including $2.2M in Thursday night previews. This puts Free Guy on a track toward an estimated $26.4M opening It’s a number that is higher than the mid-to-high teens that tracking had been seeing, and Disney proves once again, it can beat projections during the pandemic.
  14. Who cares if that is with little-to none enforcement? Plus, the risk of getting sued by pirating a movie is so much lower than striked by lighting. I have been watching loki series at zero cost with zero guilt.
  15. Why bother to subscribe if I can watch the same quality at the same place with zero cost?
