    I am actually plan to see this because there is nothing much else to see in Jan and Feb. The april release date my turn me off since I have other movies to choose now.

    I see more marketing material on Scream 4 than Morbius.

    The opening scene look like Gravity in a non-tracking shot. I am actually excited by this.

    If anyone writes off Avatar 2 simply because no one cares Avatar anymore, please remember both Titanic and Avatar are original movie that no one have the capacity to care until their release and that went on becoming highest grossing film.

    Sing 2 is constantly doing slightly more than half of Sing1, how long is its theater exclusive run? I remember even F9 got only 35 days only.

    The New year day bump unlikely will be as strong as Christmas day (+91%) but Sunday will have regular Sunday drop. 52-53m range it seem.

    This is I think, the only film that I wish could be longer than 2 hours and 28min. Some of the plot thread connecting to the previous film got resolved too fast before moving to the next stage.

    at least SIng 2 got to pass 100m right?

    Avatar 2 and Top Gun are the only two film that have zero exposure to the cinemagoers in the past decade, The rest have all kind of big screen appearance leading up to this anticipation.

    I feel like the only reason there still isn't any significant marketing material is the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19. They will try to delay it as much as possible to ensure no sunk cost on marketing that lost to Covid in the end.

    We really don't need this many threads when even NWH "struggle" to get 100 pages. Plus, opening a thread for every single thread is kind of non-sensical when we can blend 4 days weekend or even Thanskgiving weekend (5 days) thread into single thread before the pandemic. And this is even funnier when the whole Chinese box office are only discussed only in a thread with above 2000+ pages but it is a single largest market in the world.

    Looking back Tom Holland spiderman trilogy, it is amazing to see how each entry contain some novelty and freshness without behaving like a straight sequel like a lot of MCU sequel. HC was a fresh start for the 3rd reboot under MCU after debuting in CW while the 2nd one ignite some excitement due to its direct attachment to EG's aftermath and NWH teases the multiverse concept.

    If this is what people have in their mind, what competitive advantage you can expect theater to posses over home viewing option? No wonder theater is dying....

    But theater has been ceasing 3D for years, even EG and TROS got zero 3D showing at my area, I am not sure if they still the technical capability to wide release A2 in 3D.

    Oh ya, GB:A will lose 1554 theaters on 22Dec and likely will lose another few hundreds by CD. Likely to have only 1000-1200 theaters throughout holiday. Enchanto holding strong since it still has 2800+ over the holiday, Disney really want that 2nd box office life.

    I wish they could give more country breakdown, the number is so huge that even further down the list, you can see some sizeable box office number like those from Indonesia or Saudi

    I think Dr Strange teaser at the end of NWH as after credit bonus (Is this considered as spoiler?) , set the future of trailer debut. We may see more and more of this marketing method in near future.

    GB:A seem doing ok with week-to-week growth, setting up some great hold throughout depending the showtimes are not heavily taken away from. Will it retain this many theaters location over the holiday?

    Suddenly avatar re-release of 57m look like a very decent number for Hollywood film.

    Just slam some short-preview in front of DS: TMOM. Ideally people should be seeing the trailer in theater or best, in 3D, which internet cannot provide because we all know A2 is best in 3D.

    I love how they turn the least-cared ASM series into worthy reboot. Can you imagine in a multiverse world with only two spiderman? That is a bit small for the scale. Trio is just perfect

    I mean the numbers are so low, even by pandemic standard not worth paying attention As laughing stock I guess.
