I think it's just an easier sell for the older generation who'd rather a spy movie than watching a bunch of superheros or wizards every year But yeah my list required no thought and should be taken with a pinch of salt. TFA I think is our highest grossing movie but 9 times out of 10, the other 3 frachises will dominate it. How do you rank that? 😂

I'd say the UK popularity goes 1. Bond 2. Potter 3. Star Wars 4. Avengers

Cineworld shares have popped this morning and last week. I think the market is expecting good things from here on out

How could you ignore the great Judy Dench? The plot was all about her history with the villain and it literally came down to protecting her. She gave the franchise arguably it's most powerful and emotional ending. I think it was cool how they basically gave her the Bond girl role, minus the shags of course Fun fact. A Bond girl came closest to killing Bond than anyone else that whole movie. -
From Chris Pratt: “I don’t feel represented by either side, I really feel there’s common ground out there that’s missed because we focus on the things that separate us.” Going by the Twitter hate I'd say he's hit the nail on the head with that. He's one of the few who keeps out of the political nonsense yet people have had to dig and see who he follows to assume his political stance, then hate on him going by nothing but assumption. Worst thing I found about him is he hunts but if we eat meat (which I'm sure most of us do) then it's hypocritical. But hating on him for things like being very religious or not attending a political fundraising campaign is just never going to be morally acceptable. I think out of all the actors though, Charlie Day seems like the best choice with that voice.

Weekend Thread: Dear Evan Hansen $800K THU Previews

To me it looks like the market is dying for a big movie. These films are arguably holding better than they would pre pandemic as there is no competition. People want a reason to go back. -

Because this movie was awesome. -
Where is the evidence of this? I can't see how his life choices has effected his star power as he still comes across as a likable guy whilst his films have had the most success outside of the MCU than any of the other leads since. Most people don't view The Tomorrow war as a "red state fodder" movie any more than something like Hemsworth's Extraction. It's just an average sci fi mashup of better movies yet it was no worse than Extraction, 6 Underground or some of the other made for streaming crap these high profile actors have been in lately.

Congratulations to Usyk who's basically just become the Lomachenko of the Heavyweight Decision. Unlike Ruiz, this will be a rematch AJ won't be able to win

It's better on a second watch imo

Yeah it's ridiculous but it's mainly just twitter where People stopped liking Chris Pratt years ago. They are just a small but loud minority of lefty moaners who post lefty bullshit for other lefty folks to like and share with their lefty friends. They spend more time trying to look progressive than actually being progressive, its cringe. In reality Chris Pratt is still one of Hollywood's most popular and bankable actors right now and his involvement will sell the product more than all the other names in the cast. I'll be happy if it's half as good as Lego Movie

I never thought the casting of Mario would cause so much offence online but I guess that's just the internet these days. Chris Pratt, ATJ, Jack Black, Seth Rogan, Keegan Michael and Charlie day, that so far is a killer cast, this could definitely be a hit. It's clearly going to be more of a comedy which I'm happy with

Bronson was my James Bond, even if I prefer the Craig movies -

I thought the end of Casino Royale tried to explain his coldness to women, especially with it being a reboot. He's an agent trained to be emotionless and use his charm to his advantage. We see this at the beginning with his lack of remorse for the death of a henchman's wife he'd used (to save a plane with innocent lives on in his defence). Bet then he changes when he meets Vesper, he lets his guards down, tells her she "stripped his armour" from him and practically quits being an agent, only for her to be the one playing him. It clearly breaks him and turns him cold. When M offers him more time to grieve, clearly sensing his pain he simply replies with "Why? The jobs done, and the bitch is dead", and we are left with a cold Bond with serious trust issues -

As big as Bond is, I don't think it will effect covid cases as much as the Euros did. We won't be seeing crowds of people hugging and kissing every time James bond kills a baddie -

I can't agree that Batman Begins was a better film than TDK. The latter I felt gave us a lot more to chew on
