  1. “Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3” Greater Salvador Region tracking: T-02 SHOWINGS TOTAL SEATS SEATS SOLD PCT. SOLD 41 10773 753 6.99% SEATS SOLD TODAY 175 Now we are talking! Huge increase today here, in line with the increase seen in Waluigi's numbers. I wonder what was the catalyst for this or if it's just "random". Maybe @Carlangonz theory about the holiday was indeed right.
  2. Nice to see! We will see a little bit latter today if the same thing happened in Salvador.
  3. Not surprising. Brazil and Mexico are definitely carrying this movie.
  4. I reckon it will perform pretty bad in all the Americas. Slam Dunk was never even remotely popular in Brazil, the opposite of Captain Tsubasa, I guess the reason why is very obvious.
  5. Yes. In fact the vast majority of showings are dubbed, not only for this movie, but for most movies.
  6. That actually do not surprise me at all. Brazil and Mexico are very similar in many aspects and movie tastes and moviegoing behaviors is probably one of them. That is a good theory. We will see if that is the case based in the holds of those movies this weekend, but I can see that being a factor. I highly doubt that movies tend to not increase in sales close to the release. Hm... I think I saw like one reaction from a brazilian youtuber that went to Cinemacon, but that is it.
  7. “Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3” Greater Salvador Region tracking: T-03 SHOWINGS TOTAL SEATS SEATS SOLD PCT. SOLD 41 10773 578 5.37% SEATS SOLD TODAY 37 So... again: not enough data to know how pre-sales behave here, but selling less for the second day in a row at this far in the run does not bodes well at all. Obs: I have a feeling that reviews matter a lot less over here than it does domestic, so there is probably not a significant bump with it.
  8. I think you forgot to update the total sold numbers, Waluigi. But yeah, would be great if you could keep tracking it these last couple of days.
  9. “Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3” Greater Salvador Region tracking: T-04 SHOWINGS TOTAL SEATS SEATS SOLD PCT. SOLD 41 10773 541 5.02% SEATS SOLD TODAY 52 Due to being still uncharted territory, I don't know how pre-sales exactly behave here to analyze how good or bad pace is, but selling less tickets than yesterday is probably not a good sign given that we are just 4 days left.
  10. I am 100% certain Brazil and Mexico will be the biggest markets for this movie.
  11. I am certainly not the especialist over here, but this screams to me 17-19M previews and a 105-115M weekend at this point.
  12. “Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3” Greater Salvador Region tracking: T-05 SHOWINGS TOTAL SEATS SEATS SOLD PCT. SOLD 40 10659 489 4.59% SEATS SOLD TODAY 59 So... first daily numbers are here. At least managing to track numbers daily in the final week for Guardians will be useful to compare how strong it finishes in the future comp with The Flash I suppose.
  13. Was it? IMO based in reactions people who liked it, liked it with more intensity than Guardians and the people who disliked seemed harsher mostly because of all the "greatest superhero movie" claims.
  14. Of course it's good. As we have learned from the experts in the tracking thread, more data is always helpful, especially when we don't have any tracking data for here. I think with time and enough comps we could predict somewhat accurately things over here. Will post numbers from today later in the night.
  15. It's honestly surprising how Endgame had a better critics reception than Infinity War. Infinity War reception seems very low given the time it was released and how good it was compared to most Marvel movies at least IMO.
  16. Hm, it can go down. But if the pace is improved and all the rest remain of the same quality or higher I don't see enough reason to fall. There are many examples that go the other way around though and Batman is in one of them. It can go either way, that is why I did not said it will do better, but that it can if pace issues are fixed and the rest stays at least as good.
  17. I think Batman 2 with a shorter runtime and little less convoluted plot can go above 90% since it was the main complaining. I think some movies are still capable of reaching 90's, but the average is definitely going down.
  18. I am interested to see how this will do over here. It's likely Brazil will be the biggest overseas market for this movie.
  19. As of right now, I am tracking manually. Script will take a time to master and implement that I don't have right now, but I will try when I have the time. But actually counting manually is not that bad unless you track a huge amount of theaters, It took less than 1 hour for me and I am tracking 7 theaters from 3 different chains, so you might try that depending on how many theaters you are thinking to track. If you track Natal, I am sure it will be less than Salvador. I am just beggining doing this, but feel free to ask me anything.
  20. So... Guardians has sold 430 seats for Wednesday "previews" in 40 showings. I will be tracking all theaters from greater Salvador area (3rd/4th biggest city in Brazil) for the major releases that I have the time to track. Guardians will be my first data, but only a comp in future for T-7 and beyond.
  21. I think this is doing middle of the road numbers between Ant-Man 3 and Thor 4.
