  1. Captain Marvel will only make more in the week on Tuesdays. The Wedsneday decreased to 4.5M and The Batman will probably stay flat or drop to 6M range.
  2. The biggest benefited would be Dragon Ball because it's by far the most popular anime here. Dragon Ball Super Broly did very good business over here.
  3. Brazil is a big market just because of the sheer amount of people and the BRL being a relatively strong currency. The theater industry is VERY lacking, we just have 3500~ theaters screens in the entire country which is half of Mexico's despite Brazil having 85M more population. If Brazil had Mexico's movie theater infrastructure it would probably be the 4th or 5th biggest market in the world. Animes would heavily benefit from it because they are huge here.
  4. Brazil is very lacking in the IMAX and premium screens department. I think we only have like 15 or so IMAX screens over here. So there is a good chance that Waluigi does not leaves near an IMAX.
  5. So... not good. But Colombia seems to have unusual low drops even for Latin America standards.
  6. So... a 43% drop? Any comps? This should indicate how it will play over the week...
  7. The Batman grossed $7.25M AUD this weekend, this represents only a 37% drop from last weekend. Additionaly the movie grossed $827K NZD in New Zealand, just a 21% drop from last weekend. Things looking good for the Bat in the pacific.
  8. Wasn't your yesterday comp actually pretty accurate? If I remember was actually smaller than the real numbers.
  9. Man... This page of the thread is really something. The topic is about the box office weekend and there were fights envolving JK Rowling, Kobe Bryant, William Hurt, an avaluation and analysis regarding the moral and ethical weights in being a rapist, an abuser and a transpobhic and all this just to finish with Tom Brady coming back of the retirement. All of that in one page LOL
  10. Ow Thanks! So pre-sales are not exactly that important in China? It seems to be a WOM heavy market...
  11. Sorry, but could you explain me? I am not accostumed with chinese BO... I know that Dune did 40M and NTTD did 65M, but what is the correlation?
  12. €772 in Italy Saturday, just a 38% drop from last weekend. Again a great hold, the movie is heading strongly to a sub 40% in Italy.
  13. Box Office Mojo did not upated the overseas number after the opening weekend. After this weekend the split will be close to 50/50 and will probably shift over time.
  14. I have never seen so much Batman merchandise in my life and he is the most merchandised superhero here in Brazil BY FAR (tied with Spider-Man) for as long as I can remember. I guess Batman and Spider-Man will wider their gap as the two most popular superheroes in the next years. Edit: All of Spider-Man merchandise goes to Disney right? Sony just owns the movies revenue..?
  15. No surprise. The Batman is the kind of movie Europe seems to like and the antithesis of Asian taste. WOM is pretty good here in Latin America too, it has a decent chance of becoming the biggest WB of all time here in Brazil.
  16. Any news regarding Batman pre-sales? How it compares to Uncharted..?
  17. €436 in Italy Friday, just a 37% drop from last Friday. Excellent sign for good legs.
  18. Yeah. I mean... predictions afterall are just guessings, even the educated ones. They can be right and all the other predictions being wrong in the end of the day. That being said, I think they are way off with these numbers given the numbers and context we have right now. I am pretty confident that this is doing 60M+ this weekend.
