  1. Fantastic for Aquaman, what a great achievement! Nice for Escape Room. Not great for Mary Poppins, being bunnyhopped by Spider Verse already. Incredible for A Star Is Born! Replicas is the first bomb of 2019.
  2. Just back from seeing The Favourite. Not a fan. Colman was good, but should be in the supporting category. Emma Stone and Rachel shouldn’t be nominated, at all.
  3. Upside over performed. Solid for Escape Room too. Nice to see Green Book increasing, hope it continues for a few weeks to come. We have our first disaster flop of 2019: Replicas. A career low even for Keanu.
  4. Well this was really sweet. Hailee was fantastic and Bumblebee was adorable.
  5. I’m surprised they haven’t stopped. But the thieves would still get their hands on them even quicker if they sent out links.
  6. The Visit is really good if you haven’t seen it. A brief return to form.
  7. She was a bad mother, but her daughter was an asshole. I don’t see the problem with allowing an actress to play a bad mother, it wouldn’t be as interesting if everyone was perfect. (Btw I only caught Lady Bird recently and was really let down).
  8. Well Gaga has just addressed working with R Kelly and deleting “Do What U Want”. But she handles everything with such class.
  9. Lol. I think at this stage it’s clear his name is only attached because he cast Gal. His name was on Aquaman too, he cast Jason.
  10. By Venom situation do you mean a film that critics hated but audiences still went to see? Like Norbit?
  11. We’ve booked to see this tomorrow night just to play catch up. Wouldn’t have bothered if the reviews were bad. Last Transformers film I watched was the dreadful second film.
  12. If I really didn’t like Split, I’m guessing I’d absolutely hate this then.
  13. Toni Collette easily gave the best performance I’ve seen in 2018, male or female. In Hereditary. She is being criminally overlooked, it’s such a shame.
  14. Bohemian Rhapsody is the worst reviewed golden globe best film winner in 33 years, according to Rotten Tomatoes twitter.
  15. https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/bird-box-ratings-netflix-nielsen-1203102316/ Nielsen confirms Netflix’s earlier Bird Box claims. ~ 24 million (US only) viewers in the first 7 days. Majority female audience, majority under 35 years old and high percentages of african American and Latino audiences, Caucasian at 50%.
  16. Thank you, yikes! Bohemian Rhapsody doesn’t scream Oscar material to me, but I know most people love it. I thought it was just ok.
  17. Paul Feig just like my tweet about not releasing “Last Christmas” in .... November. Hollywood need to stop releasing Christmas films in November. Look at Bad Moms christmas, they lost all their theatres by mid December and come christmas it was in 200 cinemas. Forget the thanksgiving bump, give the film the Christmas bump instead.
  18. Just had a look at the predictions earlier in this thread. It really has seriously underperformed so far, in relation to expectations here.
  19. Oh ah! I didn’t realise lol What was the last best picture nominee to have 62% on rotten tomatoes and a 49 on Metacritic 😳
  20. Green Book really deserves it. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Bohemian Rhapsody doesn’t get nominated at all for best picture at the Oscars.
  21. Wait, these twitter bros are now hyping up trailers they’ve apparently seen early 😂 Friendly Reminder: DC isn’t in trouble again if Shazam doesn’t make a billion dollars. Shazam doesn’t need to make a billion dollars. Anything around half of that would be good.
