    Yeah it sounds like it takes it's time telling it's story and it's not all action action action which the trailers kind of sell it as. I am sure that is throwing some audiences.

    Uh. Finally a movie with strong Walkups and a chance to over perform and people will not like it for whatever reason.

    Yeah this is making less than the Fall Guy. If not than maybe Tatum and Scar Jo should have played those roles.

    Still afraid this is going to get DR Part Oned. They should move up to the 12th unless they are afraid of Fly Me To the Moon. =). Universal has DM4 on the 5th so they want to spread it out I guess. Hopefully because it is PG-13 it can coexist with D and W even if it loses all it's PLFs on the 25th.

    Really hoping the walkups come through for this but just like the Fall Guy the reviews in the end are good but not best movie ever great so just like if you did not have a massive desire to see a Gosling-Blunt action comedy you were not jumping off the fence if you do not have a massive desire to see a Planet of the Ape movie you may not come off the fence. The presales seem to be suggesting 45-50. Hope it can surprise.

    Uh, Tombstone, Open Range, The True Grit and 3:10 to Yuma Remakes. And they are all better than Back To the Future 3 and I am a massive fan of that franchise.

    Pulling for 50m at least this weekend. Hopefully the walkups come through this weekend since they did not last weekend for the Fall Guy.

    So I guess they are not releasing a second trailer for this since it's only 4 weeks out now. I guess they do not need too.

    Feel like the reviews are either to goose the Apes sales if good to great or if eh or bad ,which does not seem the case right now. deflate them.

    If it is skewing old, Tuesday discount day might see a decent to great bump since those are the movies that do the best on that day. If only a eh jump than yeah not good....

    At this point if the reviews are not good to great overall then the social media reaction thing needs to be retired and means nothing. And I don't really care what people in other countries say. Maybe it's just not their thing or it means nothing.

    Well Shit that Monday for the Fall Guy does not indicate legs are going to be great. People are just not interested in this movie enough to see it in a theater. Making about the same as Civil War did on it's first Monday not great. That did not have a potential 50 m+ opener in it's second weekend and lose all it's PLF's. The drop could be brutal unless Mother's Day does help it a little. Oh well I enjoyed the movie. Glad it was made. Not much else to say at this point. Feel like I am saying that about more and more movies.

    Assuming the reviews are good tomorrow and not eh or bad, I don't see Apes missing 50 at this point.

    He said a few months ago that this tested really poorly and Disney is really worried. The thing is he is already on Disney's shit list for reporting stuff like this before. So sour grapes or is he reporting the truth and the late review embargo drop a sign of that.

    I really want them to download the Against All Odds Karoke/Dumpster bin truck chase. What ever one thinks of the movie overall that 10 minutes kicked ass.

    Have they announced a sales date for Furiosa yet? Going with a short window I guess. I can't see it being much past the end of this week.

    Been saying that. As long as it's not disaster porn this movie will be fine. Still the fact that they have not released the new trailer on line yet seems to indicate they are nervous.
