Puss 2's OW was quite poor. It was pure legs and endurance that made that run impressive. Looking for Dreamworks to announce another Shrek or at least Puss 3 as a result, that movie is like reverse Black Adam for its series.

Because of course Majors has been in the public eye as long as Depp has. Disney hasn't even rehired Depp after he was "cleared". Majors is absolutely fucked in a long trial.

Puss 2 did it just this Christmas. Of course that film actually had good WOM.

Aquaman 2 isn't getting anywhere near The Batman and should be punted (probably in favor of Dune, which would be a much better use of those IMAX screens). If WB doesn't punt somebody will smell blood in the water and schedule a big opener vs it. Acting like a Dead Snyderverse movie is automatically gonna do Rise of Skywalker money is LOL. Flash is TBD.

I think the complaints were at least partly about the grosses as well though. Tarzan felt like it probably could have opened higher if marketed right. Shazam was "lol" once audiences realized Snyderverse was fucked.

Disney's rules don't mean jack and can change at any time. They have in the past and will again in the future.

D&D would have to have a REALLY sucky run to underperform Shazam at this point. I remember when Legend of Tarzan released and people called it an underperformer. Tarzan's US gross will probably double Shazam 2.

Moral of this story: People will still shill out for your blockbuster IF your dialogue sounds remotely serious and sincere and doesn't suffer from "Joss Whedon poisoning". Even if you're not writing Shakespeare believing in your own imagined universe counts for A LOT.

I'm pretty much dead in the club. I doubt Shazam will outgross Wick 4's actual OW (I expect it adjust up further). It was worth a shot anyway.

Some of them are saying that Majors was known to have been "bad" before the arrest. Meaning he may not have been vetted well. He was very abruptly pushed.

Really don't know why they picked him for Kang if he was obviously bad enough to have had rumors for a substantial period of time.

This sentence doesn't really make sense. How is Mario comparable to D&D comparable to Jungle Book? 3 movies, 2 different genres (live action/animation), source material from 3 different time periods. -
More importantly, is 26 considered a good increase? True Friday was something like 21 mil, right? I should also point out that Shazam's drops are so bad that 75 mil basically means I've lost the club without Wick 4 doing 80 mil.
