Fantastic result for Alien.
With Avatar, First Omen, Apes, Prey, Hellraiser and now this - 20th Century Studios is doing a stellar job handling their horror/sci franchises.
I look forward to the inevitable AvP reboot (Third time's the charm 🤞)
Way of Water did a great job making the audience care about the main characters, old and new. If they up the emotional stakes while keeping the quality the same as the last two, this is going fucking explode. Especially with the open runway this has. It's a fucking a ghost town for blockbusters for months after this releases.
I'd say Furiosa isn't even in the same ballpark tbh. We haven't had an actual Alien movie in 20 years, and even those "bad" movies in the 90s managed to make at least 150 Million a piece, very much in line with the scream movies of the time that are considered massive successes. I think the tracking shows a significant interest, I think if the reviews are good or even okay this thing will explode.
He's going to be everyone's doom, we just gotta make peace with that. You don't drop 100M on RDJ just to make him one of the Dooms. He's THE Doom of the mcu.
