We are right now in a nostalgic period of glorifying the past, which is why audiences are not receptive to sci fi movies lately, I have noticed this since 2016. Space in particular is “different”, not something you can look back toward.

I wish they had reimagined the stork scene where he delivers babies to the animal parents. That was one of my favorite scenes. I don’t even need the stork to talk. I feel that going in a too realistic direction about a flying elephant isn’t the best road to take.

I mean, I Am Legend was an excellent movie and a huge hit, so that would be great for Pet Sematary.

Does anybody know Burton’s thoughts on his Planet of the Apes and Alice in Wonderland movies? Was he disappointed in them?

I remember that our movie insider Kowhite once stated the set designs for this movie were awful.

My only complaint so far is that I am not sensing the “feeling” of the orignals weirdness. And I should be, since Tim Burton is directing. I wish Disney was not taking this into a much more realistic movie, just like they did with Jungle Book.
