Awe sorry to read Brainbug.
Also, I have noticed that there is only one film I am excited for releasing in September to December, and that is Frozen II. Anybody else not excited for this period?
So it seems like Alita is pretty much another Pacific Rim situation. (Which is another film I loved). At least I got a sequel to Pacific Rim (that I also loved), I really hope Cameron’s leverage can convince Disney and Fox to green light just one sequel. Either way, I fully expect there to be a sequel, even if it takes thirty or so years, like with cult clasics Tron and Blade Runner.
Anybody like this more than Battle Angel Alita? (Not trying to be condescending toward Ghost fans, I want to read more comparisons between the two films)
Can someone explain why I and many others walked out of Blade Runner 2049 and Battle Angel satisfied, while when we walked out of Ghost in the Shell, we were disappointed? Both Ghost and Angel were a bit simple and cliched in plot, yet Angel is now one of my favorite movies while Ghost I consider a film that didn’t reach its potential.
The teaser was excellent. This ruined the entire film for me. (And I am one to never complain about spoilers in trailers)
At least the footage seems great.
