Yeah, that's it. Had nothing to do with the fact the trailers didn't sell the movie at all... Sorry, as I said before, it looked more creepy than magical or innovative.

Nice for MI4 and shame for Dragon Tattoo as a Fincher fan. Still will probably see it next week. As for Tin Tin, not surprising. For me, it kind of looked creepy.

Saw the trailer in front of MI4 in the IMAX theater and damn the audio was fantastic (hell lot better than in a standard theater when I saw it before Sherlock Holmes 2).

Fantastic movie. Loved the opening credits showing select shots from the movie (they hadn't done that since the first MI), the call back to the original series at the end and just the all around action was intense. Good choice bringing in Bird and hopefully he, as well as the rest of the cast, come back as well as they had great chemistry. 4.5/5

Funny, I was thinking the same thing during the jailhouse hit especially.

I liked this probably as much as the original. Loved how clever the script was in its many foreshadowing shots/scenes but doesn't make it too obvious (or there's so much going on you just miss/ignore it). I was concerned that Downey Jr.'s Holmes would ware thin (kind of like Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow) but I was pleasantly surprised that it was still fresh. I also liked that Watson (Jude Law) had a lot more to do in this one by comparison.A-

Got a movie called The Guard starring Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle.

Zoe Saldana certainly was good and had the physicality to pull off the role, but there was something about the story that was off. Even though the movie is nearly 2 hours long (111-minutes for the unrated version), I didn't feel like I got anything more out of it save for a hot chick kicking ass. This is probably on par with most other Luc Besson penned scripts except for Taken which was short yet still had a great emotional core behind it.C+

Also got Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Warrior. Expecting The Expendables: Director's Cut tomorrow.

Straw Dogs (2011)

Well, it's already been said that the Nolan Batman movies would have no connection with any Justice League movie. Speculation is that the next one will be part of that world (along with Green Lantern and The Man of Steel) to build into a JL feature. Off topic, but I'm wondering if the next Batman movie will be similar to The Incredible Hulk where it's not a sequel but not really a reboot either.

Great and emotionally charged movie. I still think about the ending today.
