Suicide Squad shot up the August record, while Nine Lives was put to sleep this weekend. Overall the top 12 was at $223.9 million this weekend, which is up nearly 87% from last year and is the biggest August weekend ever! While front-loaded and had mixed word of mouth. Suicide Squad was off to a decent start with an estimated $135.1 million which was well ahead of the debut of Guardians Of The Galaxy, and ahead of Deadpool. But was below DC's films. But it was also actor Will Smith's best debut, and actress Margot Robbie's best debut. It is already writer/director David Ayer's highest grossing film! Overall with mixed word of mouth, the film could have weak legs or could play like Guardians. A total around $300 million seems reasonable. With competition against Suicide Swuad, Jason Bourne took a drop around 62% and is at an estimated $22.7 million its second weekend. Look for Bourne to end its run around $165 million domestic. R-rated female driven comedy Bad Moms took a decent hold this weekend around 40% which is the norm for most R-rated comedies, and the best hold for R-rated comedies this year! With the weeks to come, Bad Moms should hold up fine, and make $85 million domestic. Family film The Secret Life Of Pets, dropped less than 40% this weekend. With Pete's Dragon coming out next weekend, Pets should do fine and be the #1 choice for families as of right now. Pets should end its run around $350 million. Star Trek:Beyond took another over 55% drop, which is rough for the third entry of the Star Trek reboot franchise and the Star Trek franchise. Look for Star Trek to beam its way around $160 million. Other new release, family animal film Nine Lives died with an estimated $6.5 million. That debut is on the weak end for actor Kevin Spacey. Look for Nine Lives to crawl its way near $15 million. Horror film Lights Out took a decent drop this weekend around 44%, and has held out strong for a horror film. Lights Out should turn off with a total over $60 million. Nerve had an alright second weekend hold, and should end its run near $35 million. Ghostbusters took another steep decline, and should end its run with $125 million. Ice Age 5 also crashed this weekend, and should end its run close to $60 million.

I"ll take them to show them what the movie theater is like, and to let them know I"ll take my kid when he's about 10 to an R-rated movie of his choice but it has to be under one condition no porn or fifty shades bullshit plus that shit isn't even that bad I've seen that movie and it was about as painful as going to the dentist or waiting in line at the BMV.

oh. I thought you guys were mad about the adults decision, well if it's porn then that's disturbing and very nasty. But if it's an R-rated film that the kid saw a TV spot of it on tv or trailer on the computer, and they wanted to see the film like for example Deadpool then I would think about it with my kids. But if a parent like myself(using an example right now I'm 19 years old and haven't made children yet) I would tell my kids alright you guys wanna go see a movie? If it was Don't Breathe I would let them know it's pretty scary and intense. are you sure you can handle it? If they say yes ok, but if not then I say alright. But I will never show a 6 year old something like Clerks II.

Well I plan on having kids someday. But it just depends, everyone is raised differently. I wasn't allowed to see the Friday The 13th 2009 reboot because of sex and drug use when it came out when I was 12 years old, but was allowed to see Con Air when I was 9. I saw Dead Silence, Vacancy, and Knocked up in the theater with my mother & aunt when I was 10 years old. If your kid is able to handle it and be calm I approve.

By the way who the fuck cares if a young child or elementary school aged children are at an R-rated movie with their parents or guardian. Their parent has the way of the movie, if they approve then it's alright, and if the child is alright. But quit being whiny bitches about parents taking children to an extreme R-rated film you don't have the say bitch.

Maxmoser3 replied to Impact's topic in Box Office Derby
Sausage Party:$29 million, Pete's Dragon:$25 million, Florence Foster Jenkins:$12 million. -
Jason Bourne should pass $70 million today, Star Trek should be close to $115 million, Moms should pass the $30 million mark, and Pets should make $300+ . Overall solid numbers, but should be hard to tell how much they all get hammered by Suicide Squad and the Olympics this weekend.

Weekend Thread | Bourne 60M, Trek 24M, Bad Moms 23.4M, Pets 18.2M

I own it on DVD too! But in that triple feature set with all three of the Road Trip films, thought about getting rid of it and getting the first two films because Beer Pong sucked.
