  1. War Dogs:$14 million, Kubo and the Two Strings:$13 million, Ben-Hur:$11 million.
  2. Suicide Squad still leads but heavily bleeds as it leads the top spot once again this weekend. Sausage Party had a solid start for an R-rated comedy, while Pete's Dragon had a so-so start, and Florence Foster Jenkins debuted around expectations. Overall the top 12 was at $157.8 million which is up 16% from last year! It is also the best of the comparable weekends, and August could match 2014's gross! Suicide Squad led the weekend with an estimated $43.7 million and had a drop around 67% this weekend which is just slightly better than Batman Vs. Superman's 69% drop earlier this year. Overall if Suicide Squad continues to have steep decline just like Batman Vs. Superman did, it will likely not reach $300 millon. A total for Suicide Squad right now seems more around $285 million domestic seems likely. Sausage Party had an excellent start this weekend with an estimated $33.6 million which is the best debut for an original R-rated comedy in August, and the best debut for Seth Rogen since Neighbors back in 2014. Sausage Party should end its run over $100 million domestic total. Disney's live-action remake Pete's Dragon had a so-so start with an estimated $21.5 million that debut is ahead of last month's bomb The BFG. But is well below Disney's bigger live-action blockbusters in recent years. Overall with a $65 million production budget and overseas Disney should have a decent little hit, and look for Pete's Dragon to end its run around $70 million. Jason Bourne, Bad Moms, Secret Life Of Pets, and Star Trek:Beyond all had very solid holds this weekend! Look for Bourne to end its run around $165 million domestic. Bad Moms around $90 million domestic. Pets around $355 million domestic. Star Trek:Beyond around $160 million domestic. The other new release, Florence Foster Jenkins had an alright start for actress Meryl Streep with an estimated $6.5 million which is roughly around the same field as Ricki And The Flash. But is below the debut of other adult-oriented driven films such as Julie & Julia, and The Hundred Foot Journey. It's hard to tell how well Florence Foster Jenkims plays in the weeks to come, look for a total around $20 million domestic.
  3. Marky Mark was only in it for a little bit, all I remember was the ending that shocked 13-year old me. Fear, The Big Hit, Three Kings, Pain & Gain, Ted 1 & Ted 2, and Four Brotbers are the Marky Mark films I remember. I also am one of the few who really liked 2 Guns.
  4. Mixed films at best. Man Of Steel, Alice In Wonderland, BVS, Star Wars prequels(episodes I-III), Pirates 3, Shrek 3, Spider-Man 3, Minions.
  5. I think Sony made a solid move for Sausage Party it originally was supposed to be released in May of this year, and they moved it around a few times. Word of mouth has been solid for it thus far, and it should hold up fine on the dailies and weekends.
  6. The Watch was alright but not amazing I had some fun with it , I actually liked it strangely enough. Although, Evolution was a more funnier movie. This Is The End was funny as hell, was quite creative, and was a R-rated comedy that had the balls. The Interview wasn't bad but not amazing it wasn't as good as This Is The End was.
  7. Sausage Party should play a lot better than Rogen's last few films. If it debuted at $28 million or better and holds up better than The Night Before or Neighbors 2 then I think a total $100 million could happen.
  8. A big win for Sony! From the looks of it, Ghostbusters broke even. Sausage Party has an $19 million production budget.
  9. Florence Foster Jenkins is a film aimed towards the 50 and older crowd. Most of them see it on matinees, and some might see a night showing of it.
  10. Moms was a comedy aimed towards females(25-30 year olds) the 30 and up crowd saw it on the weekend. While the 25 and younger crowd went to see it for an alternative film on Thursday night. Sausage Party is a film that people will be curious to see because it's an animated R-rated film which is rarely seen in today's day and age. But a $30 million opening wouldn't be bad, but I would like to see $35+ million OW.
  11. Solid number for Sausage Party. But really deadline? A $15-$20 million ow is still in play? No-no-no, a opening around $30 million or even better is in play. @DAJK man you were right on the $$$$ with the preview number!
  12. I'm gonna say about 11:00 they"ll have them listed. They're slow, and so is Box Office Mojo lately their weekend forecast isn't even up yet.
  13. Ghostbusters had bad marketing efforts by Sony they made like it was a sequel to the original film("30 Years Ago), and Star Trek:Beyond's issue the first trailer was a little too fun for the franchise with "Sabotage" by The Beastie Boys playing in the background which playing The Beastie Boys in film trailers has not been too kind for Paramount Ninja Turtles:Out Of Shadows had "No Sleep Til' Brooklyn" playing in the background of its trailer earlier this year and it made a lackluster amount.
  14. Any preview numbers from last night?
  15. Bummed that this isn't coming out next year. But with everything against each other next year, and sequelitis kickin' in this year(except a few exceptions) it's I guess an ok move. But January is a mixed bag, I would like to see this film do a profit since I really like Bad Boys & Bad Boys II(yes I think it's a really good fun sequel), Ride Along 1 numbers seem possible for this right now either way. Unless, Sony either has its marketing live or die on this one.
  16. See Florence Foster Jenkins first. not that I've seen it or anything but I'm not a Meryl Streep type of guy, but to save you from the torture later on.
