  1. ZDT getting a nod from a non American film group is key, basically locks it into top 3 status with Lincoln and maybe Argo
  2. Lol I love these statements with no basis, support the claim please
  3. Lincoln defines the term Oscar bait, ZDT is this year's Social Network. Biggest mainstream hit with the critics but still loses to TKS (in this case Lincoln)
  4. When the public starts seeing ZDT, I promise the overwhelming positive buzz will help its chances. Just saw it and really hoping it beats Lincoln (which I thought was great) and every other movie.
  5. It is a lock buddy and I'd put money up if you'd like to disagree.
  6. How is this thread 45 pages long? Anyways last solid weekend for a while I imagine
  7. Looking pretty good a month later
  8. Lol you are probably wrong on all of these no offense, Les Mis isn't anything special
  9. The story changes, we could have a front runner in a couple weeks based on guilds, writers.
  10. Lincoln was great BUT I have a feel Zero Dark Thirty will go away from taking the safe choices... Tired of the same type of Oscar bait movies winning but will hold judgement until I see it. I enjoyed THL, thought it was a worthy winner.
  11. 2 horse race between Zero Dark 30 and Lincoln IMO
  12. Any of these films with legit Oscars credibility other than Lincoln?
  13. A $5m difference or 3.7% isn't really a dramatic change from today's earlier estimate
  14. Now that this is over, onto a REAL movie saga in The Hobbit. Would prefer to see halflings and dwarfs compared to vampires anyday (and that doucher Taylor Lautner)
  15. You are a biased clown, see ya later. It was never going to do less than BD1 so to match that isn't "great" as you put it, record or not, it's expected and will again have horrific legs.
  16. I think I hit a nerve here with a twihard. Check the press and social media for the truth. Most of this country thinks this series is plain crap, and it's over!!! WOOT!
  17. So glad this appears it will drop like a rock, I'm pretty sure most of this country is happy this "saga" has finally ended. Not very impressive #s, 100% expected and it even fell short a little on OW.
  18. I was part of the Monday #, thought it wasn't as good as Casino Royale but still a solid flick and good Bond for the modern age.
  19. Cannot wait to see this, again obviously a fantastic result!
  20. Great news for the entire industry! Considering what MGM went through, state of box office etc just awesome for a legendary franchise.
  21. most disappointing moment/week in BO history, stick a fork in this thingI haven't even been able to think about the movie and fun without thinking of the shooting, those saying its not affecting attendance are cluelessI'm a pretty big Nolan/Batman fan and I haven't rushed to see it twice yet when I thought for sure I would have by now
  22. 8 pages only 4 days into TDKR, had this opened to different circumstances this place would be hopping.
  23. $30m midnights to $162m OW, so sad... Was heading for $172m at a floor had the shooting not happened. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
  24. Well said and again really sad it had to end like this. I mean the lives lost is bad enough.
