Kitik's whole post. I agree, Marvel and the superhero genre in general are FAR more versatile and dynamic than a Western (regular or spaghetti). You can have a live action Three Days of the Condor 70's political thriller-esque Winter Soldier movie, a live action Star Wars meets Hitchhiker's Guide Guardian of the Galaxy AND an animated The Incredibles meets The Iron Giant meets How To Train Your Dragon Big Hero 6 in the same year. The diversity in tone and sub-genre leaves far less room for fatigue to set in, if the movies are executed as efficiently as they've been so far.

I haven't read TPatQ but even though the Dance wiped out quite a few of the dragons, there was no proper explanation as to why the surviving ones were always in poor health and couldn't give birth anymore for years after. Didn't more than three survive the war though?

Out of the two, I actually think Interstellar may disappoint and not hit 250M. But that's just me getting ahead of myself. We just had TWO 400M+ movies releasing just five days apart, so two 300M movies or one 300M+ and one 250M+ movie releasing on the same day is not that much of a stretch.

Yeah, I think this has great potential for 300M+ while I don't see Interstellar making Inception numbers. Let's see. WDAS and The Hunger Games have made winter BO exciting again!

Yeah, now I have a feeling that she conquers Westeros but then decides to leave for Essos probably because Westeros is not an ideal place to raise dragons. The Targaryen dragons dwindled and perished in Westeros previously. Who's to say it won't happen again? Tyrion wonders why the Valyrian civilization, of which the Targaryens were a part of before fleeing towards Westeros, never conquered west of the tiny rock of Dragonstone. I think it's because the Valyrians were aware that Westeros is not a suitable land for magic and dragons, two things they were big on. It's possible that by the time Aegon Targaryen and his sisters were born, this ancient Valyrian knowledge was forgotten. Which is why they set out to conquer the Seven Kingdoms unlike any Targaryen or Valyrian before them.

^Yeah, the Penguins definitely decreased in prominence within the main franchise. I don't think PoM BO is immune to bad reviews. And if BH6 is outstanding in nature, Penguins will have to be afraid of the Heroes. But we will see.

Hey guys, how would you react if, at the end of A Dream of Spring or whatever the last book will be called, a victorious Dany abdicates the Iron Throne because she wants to retire to her home in Essos where she was raised, and she gives the throne to her nephew Aegon, who is actually Illyrio's son and Varys's nephew and not the real deal. Only a few would know Young Griff's secret like Illyrio, Varys, Tyrion and Dany. Oh, and Aegon's queen is not Arianne, BUT Sansa! It's just my pet theory that I am rooting for. What do you guys think of its chances of coming true? Would you personally like the story to conclude that way?

Frozen managed to perfectly co-exist with CF, and an argument could be made that the more girl-centric Frozen had a bigger overlap of target demographics with Katniss than BH6. It's Penguins of Madagascar that I'm concerned about, even though I cannot believe they made an entire movie on THOSE characters!

Nooooooooo! But at least it will show the actual lead of the film and the relationship with his robot. Unlike a certain other teaser that concentrated on the hi jinks of a snowman and reindeer.
